NBA Suck Squad: Day 34 of the 2k9 NBA Playoffs

If the Nuggets won last night, they'd be headed to the 2009 NBA Finals for a date with the #1 overall pick from 2004 or 2005. Instead they undid their thievery in LA and home court advantage in this series has shifted back to the Lake-show.

Jump for some Day 33 rewinding and Day 34 previewing.

Star-divide

REWIND

Lakers 103, Nuggets 87 (Lakers lead 2-1)

Pickaxe and Roll: After last night's big loss, I think we're going to have to give those poor folk in Denver some time to recover.

Silver Screen and Roll: After last night's big win, Laker fans think they're the "BEST ROAD TEAM IN THE NBA, B-TCHES!!!!" Excuse me while I throw up. At least they're keeping it somewhat level-headed:

If the Lakers don't win this series then they will have no one to blame but themselves, because you could make the case that they deserve to be down 0-3 right now.

PREVIEW

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Orlando Magic (Series tied 1-1): 5:30pm PST on TNT

Fear the Sword: Even TV reporters are going crazy in Cleveland after that clutch shot and I can't blame them one bit. These hand-dandy links should get you up to speed. Still I have to wonder if they'll be riding the train in Cleveland when LeBron goes to NY in 2010.

Third Quarter Magic: Dwight, Hedo, Rashard, and friends don't need magic to win this pivotal Game 3, they need Orlando. Both teams have landed punches on their opponent, but who's got the counterpunch?

I'm picking former Warrior Mickael Pietrus (man I miss that guy and his goofiness- MT's got some good words) and crew to make the Magic Kingdom proud tonight.

Post your predictions and ongoing game thoughts in the comments. Have a great Memorial Sunday!

My pick: Magic

Well, the Lakers showed that they don’t need home court to win. I now think the Cavs won’t either. Nevertheless, I’ll give the edge to the Magic.

C'mon Air France

Do us proud

Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson, or John Wall. A Warrior in 09.
With the 6th Pick in the 2009 MLB Draft, the SF Giants pick Donovan Tate.
Andre Smith in Silver & Black in 2009.

I hope Cleveland wins tonight. They have the best shot at beating the Lakers. That is the one and only reason I want Lebron to get his ring…because it means that Kobe doesn’t. Yes, I’m a Laker hater. :-D

Beat LA!

Ariza's a free agent

Who’s going to pick him up and the Lakers will be sorry to see him go.

There's a party in my mind.
And I wish that I was there.

Wow BS.

It kinda sucks that they can review the play for where they shot it but can’t use it to reverse the clean block foul.

wow, that was more than just an edge victory

that was a SOLID victory over the Cavs. After tonight’s loss I think there’s some doubt starting to grow in some bandwagoners minds.
