Really?
Not sure you’d think that after their respective rookie seasons. Lawson is quick, but undersized and an NBA defensive liability. He was a defensive liability in college, doesn’t bode well for him. I would be surprised if Lawson cleared the 5’11" mark w/out shoes at the combine, will he be a shorter Felton or Jameer Nelson w/out a reliable jumpshot? I just don’t see it.

I hate sports agents....
If the Warriors did land Rubio, why wouldn’t the agent do his best to do what’s best for his client, instead of holding ridiculous grudges? Maybe this can be decided in a Rowell/Fagen cage ladder match. Put a check for 100G at the top.

i mean
we could always trade rubio away i guess if he really doesn’t want to come here…

Fortunately...
There’s a 90% chance we won’t have to deal with this “situation.”
There’s also — guesstimating — a 90% chance that if we luck into the #2 pick, we won’t be so dumb and self-defeating as to pass on Rubio because of his freaking agent.
And … as always, there’s a 99.9% chance that Mr. UpperRiver is overdramatizing the situation just a tad…

I didn't even read this because its Kawakami and he doesn't deserve the hits on his site
If the warriors did well in the lottery and drafted Rubio then he would play, and with little drama. Or he’d hold out, Monta’s contract would be voided, Randolph would demand a trade, and the Warrior’s front office would have a fistfight. So yeah, shut up Kawakami, I want real stories.

I did read it and your right
TK likes to throw out “info” that is misleading, unverified or just plain wrong.

I don’t really get this. What does Kawakami think that Fegan could do to the Warriors if they drafted his client? There’s basically zero bargaining room for a contract for a rookie. His threat would be to stay in Europe, but his rights still belong to the Warriors. If Rubio really wants to play in the NBA he’s got the option of signing with the team that drafted him or…well he has no other options. He’d realize that his agent is screwing him for a vendetta.
Much as it wouldn’t help the Warriors this year, drafting Rubio and letting him hone his skills for a year or two on someone else’s dime without the 4 years-of-rookie contract clock ticking might not be a bad thing anyhow. He adds strength that few 18 year-olds have and joins the team as a more polished 20 year old in a couple of years? Not the worst thing in the world.
I think Kawakami is out of ideas.

yep, TK isnt a reporter
hes an entertainer.
nothing he says ever has any substance/proof.
“Rowell told Stephen Jackson to fire Fegan if he wanted a three-year, $27M extension–voila, Fegan was fired and Jackson got his extension.”
i like how he throws this out there with ZERO proof. Wasnt his agent fired two years before he signed the extension?
if we get the #2 slot….we will definitely get rubio…there is NO CHANCE that we wouldnt if he was available
You know I spit technique to the freshest freak

the magic of google
i searched “Jackson fires Fegan” in hopes of finding the date that SJax showed Fegan the door…to maybe shed light on Kawakami’s statement….
unfortunately, most of the results involved “Pacers Jackson fires gun at strip club”. i laughed pretty heartily at my cubicle until i realized Jackson is the oldest veteran on the Dubs…awesome 2 minutes well spent.
