Build off Lebron's frustration.

After watching the game last night I could easily see how frustrated Lebron was. And I remeber all the old hype about Lebron thinking about leaving the Cavs. well today i was watching SportsCenter and everyone was blowing up the fact that Lebron could possibly be leaving the Cavs, and about how he is really showing little to no sportsman ship.

Star-divide

Well seeing that he might want a new team i thougt it would be fun to make this. I dont think its really possible but its always good to dream that there is still a chance. Check this out:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=m63cv2

Well is this trade ever came true i can kinda of see it as benifical to both teams.

For the Cavs...

PG: Mo Wills

SG: Monta Ellis (Hes still a great players but not so great with Mopeds)

SF: Corey Maggette ( Great off the bench but he could do great starting)

PF: Blah

C: Blah

Overall..

Good: This Trade could help the Cavs kinda because when i watch them most of the time it seems like the whole team depends on Lebron. I know this seems stupid but with Lebron Gone this forces the rest of the team to step up. Mo Williams is a great player and can still grow to be a evern better player than he already is. Monta also has tons of growing room and i know that he slipped this season but next season i think hes promising. He is still very fast, hes still good at taking it in, respectable mid-range game, and was it just me or the games he actually played this season he was draining 3sss?? And the Maggette factor. Yeah is kinda is a ball hog, but he can make plays for others players, and he is great at driving and getting fouled while doign it. And he is also able to make players draw offensive fouls. I still think maggette is a great player the only thing that really sucks is his contract.and i know its not just me but every time a player leaves the warriors they get better...

Bad: NO MORE LEBRON! NO MORE KING! but other than that i can see positive things for this club.

Now the Warriors.

PG:Draft Pick, Marco Belinelli, CJ Watson (if we still have him)

SG:Captain Jack,Marco Belinelli, Anthony Morrow

SF: Lebron James,Kelenna Azubuike

PF: Anthony Randolph, Brandan Wright

C: Andris, Turiaf

JJ Hicks can replace Rob Kurz on the bench =]

Overall..

Good: We have Lebron. I think Lebron would fit great because we are a high scoring and fast paced team. Well then again Lebron would help any team. And Lebron does have good help. Our Bigs are pretty fast, and can get blocks. the only real problem is we cant really get a lot of rebounds. But the thing is that lebron is not just an offensive presence he is a deffensive one too.  PlayOffs anyone?

Bad: None Really.. My only concern is that the warriors might become Lebron based, and a lot of the other players wont get as much attention. And it seems that sionce the Warriors dont really have like one true star we are able to see almost everyone develope into great players. People like Buike, Randolph, Marrow, CJ, Belinelli, basically the whole team.

This whole this is pretty unlikely because Lebron is looking for a high caliber championship team.

Comment away about how dumb this post was and how it should be deleated. Unless it get deleated before you can comment then o wells.

I would keep Monta alongside Lebron. Just imagine Monta alongside Lebron… Monta would score 25+/game on 60% shooting all season.

LOL...

You forgot to include B. Wright, A. Randolph and our next 3 first round picks. I think the only Cleveland would even think of trading LBJ is if you made a completely ridiculous offer. Even with the additions I suggested I doubt GM Danny Ferry would pull the trigger.

No way in hell this happens, tho it’d be nice if it did. We’d still have a huge hole at pg. If we could have a lineup of “we believe baron”, LBJ, Stack, AR and Beans. Hey why not even monta as six man lol.

Lebron is a ball hog, but I cant deny he makes it happen when he has the ball on his hands. The lebron show in oakland? meh.

LeBron hogs the ball? He gets his teammates involved more than any other superstar.

How do you score 38 points a game and not be a ball hog? He has to have the ball in his hands alot to do that.

by Butt Secks on Jun 1, 2009 6:12 PM PDT up reply actions

you average 8 assists per game.

it’s not being a ballhog if you get your teammates involved the way lebron does. calling him a ballhog implies that he takes shots he shouldn’t and has no regard for his teammates. it’s not as though lebron doesn’t pass to open teammates or anything like that.

heart of a champion, will of the warrior.

by cap'n hack on Jun 1, 2009 7:00 PM PDT up reply actions

he's still a ballhog

hes turnover prone and when he is shooting badly he’ll continue to keep shooting.

by Butt Secks on Jun 2, 2009 12:55 AM PDT up reply actions

first off, the ast:to for lebron is better than 2:1.

and when he’s shooting badly, he should keep shooting, because he’s the most likely person to get points on the team. you don’t switch offensive strategies and have lebron not shoot because he’s having an off-game, especially when you consider how often he gets to the line. you let the best player in the game try to find his rhythm and in the process, reap the benefits of all those free throws.

heart of a champion, will of the warrior.

by cap'n hack on Jun 2, 2009 12:59 AM PDT up reply actions

I dont know…i think if your best player is shooting badly, you should change your offensive strategy. Yeah, hes capable of dropping 50 a night but if he were to go 8-30 on shooting, then he (or anyone else) needs to stop. When it gets to the point to where you’re shooting so poorly, you hurt your team, something needs to change (and LeBron has done things like that in the past). Kobe does the same thing, even when he does have a poor offensive night, he’ll keep shooting. It wasnt until somewhat recently that “less” became more for him as well as his team.

LeBron is extremely talented and has had a fruitful regular season and playoff run, but it takes the ball being in his hands often, and 40 odd minutes a night for him to get it done.

by Butt Secks on Jun 2, 2009 1:37 PM PDT up reply actions

There is a huge difference between the way LeBron dominates the ball and the way Kobe dominates the ball. There’s also a huge difference between either of those guys “hog” the ball and the way Jamal Crawford “hogs” the ball.

Thing A

by sam23 on Jun 2, 2009 8:46 PM PDT up reply actions

actually, define “ballhog”. that might clear things up substantially, because if you just mean “person who often controls the basketball on a given team” then yeah, lebron’s as big of a ballhog as magic johnson ever was. if you mean “person who often controls the basketball on a given team, and often ignores teammates in the process, hurting the team” then no, lebron is by no stretch of the imagination a ballhog.

heart of a champion, will of the warrior.

by cap'n hack on Jun 2, 2009 1:02 AM PDT up reply actions

“Ballhog” usually implies something negative. A player like Stephon Marbury, for instance, who needed to dominate the ball at all times but hurt his team in doing would be a ballhog even though he racked up assists. This is because the team as a whole wasn’t scoring efficiently in possessions where Marbury controlled the ball. Lebron on the other hand, can dominate the ball but is so good the offense scores efficiently when he does this. He gets his teammates involved in the process (racking up assists), and takes a lot of shots himself – all because he and his teammates score at a high rate when he’s in control of the offense. That’s the difference between a ballhog and a great player. Marbury’s team would score more efficiently if he didn’t dominate the ball, Lebron’s team scores more efficiently when he DOES dominate the ball.

He’s talking about Morrow’s 6’9" cousin, Anthony Marrow, who combines Morrow’s sweet shooting stroke with the defense of Pippen and the rebounding of Rodman.

I’m not even sure LeBron would win the starting SF job over Anthony Marrow. He could be a decent sixth man, though.

Le` Bron had no idea that Big Z, Mo Williams, Wally Zsdflsdfbiac, and Delonte West were on the take. They took a dump on purpose while Le`Bron went ape sh*t and averaged 35 pts a game. In reality, they Cavs aren’t that great to where they were a deadlock to reach the Finals. They play in the east and have one player worth something. Andris is better than Big Z in my opinion and other than that, Cleveland isn’t really all that to write home about. LeBron is though and he ain’t going anywhere. Not NY or Golden State!

Let’s trade the whole team for LeBron then sign Kobe as a free agent since he can opt out of his contract this summer, he would definitely wanna sign with us and play with LeBron…..then other good players like D Wade and Howard might sign for less money just to be part of this team, this would be our lineup:

PG – Chris Paul
SG – D Wade
SF – Kobe
PF – LeBron
C – D12

I think the point was to show the absurdity of such a comparison, with maybe a side of good-natured ribbing at me for being such a bleeding-heart Obama-phile. I don’t think even Sam would seriously try to liken the affable and capable POTUS to one of the vilest people of all time.

Heck, Obama himself would probably find the pic mildly amusing, if he knew the context and the messenger…

by Goldenstarter on Jun 2, 2009 8:49 PM PDT up reply actions

Honestly, is there any trade for LeBron that makes sense?

He is so talented I cant see more than 2 or 3 potential trades, so we have to get a little crazy with it. Based on talent alone, I could see:
Kobe plus 2nd round pick for LeBron (Kobe is getting old, I dont think Kobe for LBJ is an even trade)
D Wade plus 2nd round draft pick (Wade is a bit injury prone and half the leader LBJ is)
Dwight Howard plus Reddick

Anything else you’d have to blow up a whole team to get LeBron and then there is no talent left to surround him like in Clevland. For the organization that gets him, it wouldnt matter because you would be filling seats. For the fans and the image of the NBA, a total loss

by warriorsvictim on Jun 2, 2009 9:52 AM PDT reply actions

2nd round picks have very little value in the NBA. Even as good as Kobe and DWade are, you’d have to throw in AT LEAST 2 first round picks with them, and probably significantly more.

Howard and Reddick? Reddick isn’t that good, and doesn’t give the Cavs any more value than they could easily find for fairly cheap on the FA market.

by Missing Barry on Jun 2, 2009 10:00 AM PDT up reply actions

Add a third team to the trade

Maybe also send off Biedrins and Turiaf to Orlando for Howard, as long as you are proposing ridiculous trades that would never happen

by olympicmike on Jun 2, 2009 3:27 PM PDT reply actions

it's only offensive if you let it be - ignore it

I dont know if I think LeBron is worth DWade or Kobe plus 2 first round picks, but I would go for that if I ran any team.

Dwight Howard and Reddick gives the Cavs an AllStar inside presence to build around and a cheap outside shooter who really wants to play outside Orlando. I have not closed the book on him yet because he seems to have more talent than he has been able to show so far. How many times have we seen that with the Warriors?!

I think you could argue that Clev would be a better TEAM with Howard and Reddick than they are now, although less marketable.

by warriorsvictim on Jun 2, 2009 4:15 PM PDT reply actions

Howard v. LeBron

You could probably make a half-reasonable argument for DHo straight up, given the availability of good wing players and what a historically huge bonus it is to have the Best Big Man in Basketball. (I forget who it was who noted that MJ is still the only player under 6’9" to lead his team to multiple NBA championships, but it was definitely food for thought).

If you were being realistic, you could also point out that Howard is locked up for the next three years (with a player option for another) while LeBron after next year is free to go wherever his little heart desires. That, more than any marginal difference in production, makes the argument for Howard over LeBron an extremely easy one to make.

But dude … don’t muddy the waters of a decent debate by acting like a worthless POS like JJ freaking Redick affects the balance one way or the other. Just seeing the word “Redick” (spelled correctly or not) in the same post as Howard and LeBron hurts my eyes.

That would be “everybody with half a brain.” I’m sure I brought it up at least once, I’ve seen it posted a few times. Heck, even Tim Kawakami has probably written something to that effect at least once. So, make that “everybody with half a brain.”

The real question is: would Riddick better than LeBron? I mean, he can tame wild monsters, kill teleporters, and see in the dark, but can he drop a 3 pointer with 1 second left and his team down by two about to go into a 0-2 hole after two consecutive losses? I don’t think he’s got the nerve.

Meh

He’s the best American player.

This is what happens when you’re the best player from your country in a televised sport. The media hypes you up. When Guga Kuerten won the French Open a while back, Brasil went ape-ish. When Paradorn Srichaphan wins anything, they make him a cultural ambassador, elect him “Thai of the year,” put him on the cover of “Time Asia” and list him as one of 29 “Asian Heroes” (http://www.paradornsrichaphan.com/single/?showpage=facts). Be happy that you only have to hear about a good but not great tennis player like Roddick only 4 times a year.

On a side note, Mr. Srichaphan now seems to be Mr. Miss Universe. Now there’s something for which to hold a parade!

American tennis is in pretty bad shape right now. Speaking strictly about his game, Roddick’s all style no substance – only wins with the big shot (big serve and forehand), and every time he plays someone who can handle them and keep a rally going he gets crushed.

by Missing Barry on Jun 3, 2009 2:02 PM PDT up reply actions

Just want to note in my previous post I wasn’t taking contract situation into account at all. I was assuming the teams involved would get their players locked up long term. Between Kobe’s age and Dwade’s injury history, it would take a lot more in addition to one of them to make a trade equal. I’d put Dwight’s trade value above Kobe and Dwade, too.

by Missing Barry on Jun 2, 2009 7:00 PM PDT up reply actions

for trade value, i’d go:
1. lebron

5. kobe, probably, though i’d be open to putting roy here.
