May refer to more interviews, another workout, opposed to his selection.

Oh yes indeed

It could very well be. But what fun is that if we just left it at that?

You're right

In another article I read, it stated that Riley was in Italy for a few weeks watching him. I think they’ve been heavily scouting him. I’d wet my pants if wee draft him, been following him since the MCD’s game.

He may not be the best

I actually think Flynn overall may be the BP, but Jennings would definitely add that spark, that pizzazz (which by the way sells tickets). Sure would be fun to watch…

AR + Jennings

Is a dream for marketing.

Only if they win games. Otherwise, it’s a nightmare once the marketing people are stuck trying to tell people that the inferior product is “exciting” and they should pay to see them despite mounting losses.

Well the whole Run-N-Gun mentality is what also already brings alot of folks in. I wonder what happens if AR leaves along with Nelson.

jennings can run but flynn’s got guns

by gogoldenbears on Jun 12, 2009 2:02 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

I agree

But I’m not so sure if that applies for the Warriors. We’ll have to look at the season ticket and box office numbers.

I’d say ever since Baron Davis came here in 2005 the stands have been filled because the team has been (for the most part) entertaining, not because they’ve been winning (which they’ve done very little of).

That isn’t to say that winning and excitement have been completely independent the past 4-5 years of course.

by Atma Brother ONE on Jun 12, 2009 12:06 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Spark and "pizzazz" don’t sell tickets that well. Wins sell tickets. A few people buy single game tix as a result of flash, but it doesn’t sustain. The real money comes from season tickets and the surest way to increase these is to win games.

by jae on Jun 12, 2009 11:47 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Jeez!!!

What a buzz kill. Yeah, you’re right about winning being the best way to ensure more ticket sales, but do you really have to be such a know-it-all? C’mon, mate, have some fun.

Just trying to be sage counsel. Seriously, I’ve seen too many moves that clubs make, specifically the Warriors, that have been made thinking that they’d sell tickets, moves that didn’t sell tickets long term and resulted in a bad team. Rowell continues to believe that something other than wins can put more fans in the seats; we can’t give him ammo for this misguided assumption. We know that Warriors marketing people read (and sometimes post) on blogs like this, so damnit if I’m going to let them think “aha! Flynn will sell tickets! The fans already like him!” I don’t care how exciting a player is if we lose all the damn time.

Are those Flynn's actual arms...

or did nellie roll two barrels of whiskey into the gym?

by Aisander D on Jun 12, 2009 12:42 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Seriously

Going by those pictures, I’d much rather see Flynn at the line in a Warriors uni.

You have been DFiBrillated.

we need jennings

his ballhandling skills are amazing and that is something we lack now that baron is gone. Having him on the court would dramatically decrease our TO’s which KILLLED us this season. And also we’d finally get to see alot more alley oops again.

jamal crawford has even better ball handles....

and he’s been someone ‘we need’….am i right?

i feel like we need more alley-oops to really make this team a contender.

no

what we need is more broken ankles, hot dogging, showboating, and game breakers.

those things would help, but not nearly as much as more alley-oops, no-look passes, transition 3s, taunting and free beer at the roaracle would. those are the building blocks of a champion.

we need our mascot back.

 we need Fisher back

Now wheres the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?
I noticed there's so many of them
and there's really not that many of us.

who knows

maybe if he got a chance to play for don nelson he probably would have done great for us.

by Precise Films Productions on Jun 13, 2009 10:09 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

i prefer flynn but wouldn't mind jennings

ive really cooled on holiday and evans. i would say no to them, and terrence williams…
hill and derozan would be ok also i guess. harden is still my favorite…

still don’t know what i think about griffin and rubio ; )

by gogoldenbears on Jun 12, 2009 2:01 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Well...

putting out a line-up with Flynn, Buike, and Maggette would be one of the more ripped trios in the NBA. Who cares if they can play, look at those arms…

we’d win every pregame fight. or we would if the frontcourt wasn’t allowed to participate.

No just bring DeMarcus Nelson back as your 6th man....

and they could single handedly overthrow the CA state government.

Are you talking about Brandon Jenning's 'Fresh Prince' cut?

I always get disappointed with our players’ hair, even though it has nothing to do with basketball. lol.

I always thought the Warriors would have been cool if Stephen Jackson still had his dreads and Al Harrington with his fro-hawk. Not only would we have been the most entertaining team in the league, but we’d also have the best variety of hairstyles on the team.

by Precise Films Productions on Jun 12, 2009 4:20 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

I want a player with real rasta dread, not the mini cleaned up version. I’m talking Kaya-era Bob Marley swinging around in the lane. Anyone seriously want to dispute that a genuine Haile Selassie-following Rastafarian dreadlock mane whipping around under the basket wouldn’t be good for at least a couple of rebounds a night when the opposition ducked to avoid getting smacked in the face?

by jae on Jun 13, 2009 11:00 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

wow

Would they even allow that type of hair in the NBA? lol. i think the closest the NBA has had to that was Brian Grant.

There’s a reason men wear short hair and women don’t , it has to do with things like flywheels and fan belts and basketball rims..
