Minnesota gets ripped off if this is true...

unless Jefferson’s injury is worse than everyone thought. Besides, Amare would never resign in Minnesota.

Rethink and reconsider this one, Minnesota.

Blecch.

That’s a horrible deal for us. I’d rather have Biedrins than Jefferson, straight up. I don’t get the Jefferson love here at all. Terrible defender, terribly injury-prone, terrible fit for Nellieball.

I’d take Amare (not a good defender either, but better than Jefferson) over Jefferson + #6.

Thing 1

really?

even though Amare is a FA at the end of the year? I don’t really love Jefferson either, but unless they’re pretty confident Amare will take more money and stay with them I don’t think they should even consider that deal.

i don’t love Jefferson, but they were a .340 winning team with him (or about what we were) and a .219 team w/o him (which would be Sac level) – and this is with 4 victories in their last 9 games vs teams like us & the Clippers who were sitting their vets… outside of that they were 3-20 or a ridiculously bad .130 or in other words an 11 win team.

the offense is run through Jefferson he turns it over about as often as Biedrins (1.84 vs 1.77), Amare on the other hand is up at 2.83…

i don’t watch enough games to call Jefferson a better defender than Amare, but Jefferson is a much better rebounder than Amare & rivals Andris (might have been better this past season if you consider pace) – Jefferson even blocks more shots than Amare even though that’s Amare’s supposed forte (it’s not close either 1.66 vs 1.08 this past season, Andris is 1.55). again, i don’t watch enough to compare, but based purely on stats, Jefferson may not show effort – but he must be playing a little defense to be outproducing Amare & Andris statistically.
