"I knew a little beforehand, I'm a little better now, but it's hard to follow sometimes especially when they use slang, like Monta Ellis, who is, sometimes, really incomprehensible."

- Marco Belinelli on the English language.

I sometimes struggle with keeping up with Monta’s English myself.

Marco Owns!

he’s right, I was listening to the Monta interview on knbr and the kid’s got deep southern drawl, plus kicks the slang in.
At least it’s keeping marco on his toes.

Original interview was in Italian

Credit to Onyros at RealGM for coming up with a translation in their forums: Marco Interview

My favorite line: “LeBron is huge, the undisputed MVP… too bad I didn’t have the opportunity to play D on him!” That was unexpected. Usually you hear players praise LeBron or Kobe about how great they are, but they don’t come out and say that they WANT to guard LeBron/Kobe. It shows that Marco is aware of defense, and WANTS to play defense.
