Warriors-Nets Talking Swap
Written by Rasheed
Thursday, 25 June 2009

The Warriors and New Jersey Nets are talking about a deal which would send Vince Carter to the Warriors. The Warriors have offered 6th man Corey Maggette as the centerpiece in the deal along with swapping first round picks this year. The hold up at this point seems to be who else the Warriors would send to the Net along with the Nets wanting the Warriors to take back Keyon Dooling as well.

Man, is it just me or is it looking more and more like we are trying to clear as much cap space as possible for 2010….or it could be Rowell is saving for a Club 200.5 in Oracle. Who knows.

VC

is the ticket . Sure he is getting older, but still has talent and a game changer/closer. I’d take it.

Insane Trade

its a pure cap move on our part. VC will be a one year guy and we will be in great position for next year. Can VC come off the bench? I see the lineup from above with Vince in it, and I just think we are not much better defensively. Only if we get him to play 20-25 a night (kind of like Maggs did) am I happy with it.

How about throw Wright in the deal to offset Dooling coming over? Interesting…

It's too late

But this rumor could not have been true. Nets are looking to save cap space for 2010. No way they were going to take a contract like Maggette’s for a talent like Maggette.

The deal with the Magic is a testament to that.
