OPEN THREAD: Stephen Curry Press Conference @ 2pm on CSN Bay Area

UPDATE (3:34pm): Well that was um... odd. Check out Tim Kawakami's analysis: What today's Curry/Warriors presser told us: 5 minutes of nothing

=======================

UPDATE (1:46pm): My prediction doesn't look that off. See what MT"s got for you: Warriors Want Curry More Than Amare? [Inside the Warriors]

=======================

PREDICTION: The Warriors are not trading Stephen Curry to the Phoenix Suns as part of a deal for Amare Stoudemire.

Why?

Well at 2pm today the Golden State Warriors will be introducing new rookie Stephen Curry. The press conference will actually be broadcast LIVE on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area today, so use the comments section of this piece for your ongoing commentary and what-not.

This probably isn't what Suns fans wanted to hear, but I'm pretty certain a ton of Dubs fans are loving this. As always head on over to the scorching hot Bright Side of the Sun for some sunny fandom.

For you Kings fans out there two things.  1) They will also be broadcasting their intro for Tyreke Evans at 3pm on CSN Bay Area and 2) you should really be hanging out at Sactown Royalty!

The full press release from our friends at Comcast SportsNet Bay Area after the jump.

by Sinigang on Jun 26, 2009 2:01 PM PDT reply actions

Curry and Riley and Amare

Curry said all the right things yesterday
and he most assuredly will say all the right things again today
and easily could say all the right things in Phx in two weeks

and

Riley will say all the right things today
No way we’re trading Curry, love him!
which, we all know, only makes his value higher
so we can make the package Wright-er

and

nothing’s over till the fat lady or coach sings
Amare could end up in LA, for either team – twitter don’t lie
he could end up here, for either package – and fans would buy
and he could just say F-you guys – no lie

if Amare’s not signing an extension,
Riley’s got to say no deal -
and we’re back to Curry, who’s for real

by hardcore on Jun 26, 2009 2:02 PM PDT reply actions

I really like Curry, BUT...

how do he and Monta play defense at the same time? I don’t see the fit on that end of the court, even though I’m excited about the possibility on the offensive end.

by Neon on Jun 26, 2009 2:05 PM PDT reply actions

they don't

but they out score everyone… i guess. They both do have talent so I’m optimistic they can make it work

seriously, wouldn’t put much in those depth charts right now. Nelson said it was Monta-Jax 1-2 … he also changes his mind … and more moves to come to be sure …

by hardcore on Jun 26, 2009 2:21 PM PDT up reply actions

So the only thing to take out of that press conference

was that Curry and Riley saying that he’ll remain a warrior. Did you guys draw any other conclusions or information out of it?

by IQofaWarrior on Jun 26, 2009 2:22 PM PDT reply actions

I hope he's not pulling our legs

But yes, outside of the intro they want him to stay. So if Suns want Curry, probably means it’s either Curry or Amare in a Warrior uniform next year. Time to try for Bosh?

Keep Curry

There is no way we should throw Curry in that deal. it should be a deal breaker and then have Amare and Curry. He shouldnt be thrown in though. That would be stupid to give up the future of the franchise to have some veteran who we wont win a Championship with next year anyways.
