Mags and Kurz for Camby?
We need a big backup center. Camby from Clippers would make a great center and help for rebounds. Defending Shaq would be hard especially with injured Biedrins. Camby defending on the post, getting rebounds, and would work well with other players. He could work on the post then dish out to Morrow for three points!!! It would take two guys to guard him, then wide open on the wing to dish out and three points. He has a lot of potential and when Curry or Ellis drives to the rim, Camby could clean up and could easily draw the foul.
Clippers have four centers so they'd 60% accept the trade. We have a few small forwards and power forwards within our 16 players. We would have to release maybe Cj Watson since he is free agent. Marcus Camby might not be like Amare Stoudamire but Suns couldnt give him up since they dont have much centers so going for Camby is an easier catch. Turiaf may also switch to power forward. We would have a much better starting lineup along with Stephen Curry.
The Playoffs Lineup:
C Marcus Camby
SG Monta Ellis
PG Stephen Curry

Kaman has a trade kicker that makes him very difficult to trade because most owners don’t want to pay it.
Zach’s contract goes through ‘10-’11 (eliminating half the teams) and is huge (which means it’d have to be a mega trade – always more difficult to complete b/c there are more factors).
they may need Camby, but he’s the one with an expiring, relatively cheap deal with the most demand from other teams.
i’d be surprised if any other team accepted a deal for either Kaman or Zach – if they’re going to deal one of their 3 veteran big guys, chances are the only one anyone would be willing to trade for financially is Camby.

if we were to grab camby i don’t think he’d start… i think it would be like the mags thing beans would start but camby would get most of the mins but i like the camby in the bay… but he’s injured prone….. how many games did he miss last season?
I'd rather have Latvia take most of the minutes....

If the Clippers are willing to forsake any semblance of cap flexibility for the next 4 seasons, then this would be a fantastic trade. As it stands, they already have Randolph for the next 2 seasons, Kaman for the next 3 and Davis for the next 4, so this would be a curious trade for them, to say the least.
For the Warriors to both shed a troublesome salary (in Maggette) and actually get a good inside player with an expiring contract would be equivalent to Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Yule in the middle of summer.

LA would probably want to ship Kaman out instead of Camby
If they are taking Maggette’s contract back, they’ll want to dump Kaman’s. I think the Clippers should go after Josh Howard instead (better, shorter contract) but if that doesn’t work out, Kaman for Maggette actually isn’t that bad and he might even work well with Amare (if that happens).

no way Cohan or any other owner for that matter would pay that trade kicker on Kaman, it’s $7.5 million.

Wright's potential is overrated
give Denver a second rounder and half mil if they want too…Wright reminds me of Stromile Swift: 1. came out of college too early 2. very thin 3. athletic shotblocker (Wright’s length equalizes Swift’s add’l hops) 4. Wright’s jumper will probably turn out like Swift’s aka so-so 5. Swift while a decent NBA player is not a starting 4 for a playoff successful team 6. neither is a real 3- they can’t make 3s or handle the ball well- Randolph can handle well for his height but he’s not a 3 either, just a thin 4 at this point- Keep Randolph he’s also stronger I doubt Wright will ever earn heavy minutes on a contender so why not ship him out now while we have loose backup guards Claxton and Law around so we can get a solid vet to back up the 3 and 4 and get just as many rebs and blocks as Wright would.

That's a goooooo one!
If we could get them to take Maggette’s big contract, I’m for that. I think Camby would be better in our system then a bulky Booser type player. If we could get them to do it why not?
