Poll for Curry Nicknames
On Golden State of Mind and elsewhere, some new nicknames for Curry have been proposed. How about a poll? Here are a few possibilities:
Masala - I'm guessing this is an Indian word, probably some sort of dish with curry in it. No one seemed to like it, but I'll include it in the poll anyway.
Scurry - a play on words. Sounds like a mouse, but someone else thought it might refer to a ghost or a mere cat.
Golden Curry - someone posted an actual product called Golden Curry. Pretty funny!
Steph - This is Stephan Curry's own preference. He's a "humble guy." I like it, personally.
The Dagger - Tony.psd posted a picture about this one. Also humorous.
Red Hot - a reference to his "spicy" last name. Maybe could refer to the "red hot" trade rumours and how Curry can heat up in games.
Sunshine - Suns fans would hate this. They're feeling pretty shined on at this point. This is also a term you call a child. He looks very young.
Daylight - Also a reference to the Suns in a round about way. Moreso, his game in college involved getting just a little daylight and knocking it down.
Baby Faced Killer - also a reference to his youthful appearance and his ability to take out the competition.
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Masala...
apparently is a mixture of spices, which can be either a powder or a paste, used in South Asian cuisine, according to Wiki.

Hopefully his shooting will stay fire so the nickname will hold. Plus the name resembles the Bay Area rap great Spice 1. I’m feeling the name Spice C.

Stephen "The Cloud" Curry.
Because he makes it rain. =D
haha. Honestly I think all of those nicknames are corny, including the one that I just said. lol. I’d prefer a serious nickname for him, specifically one that has to do about his game or shooting stroke.

How about a nickname for a Curry/Ellis backcourt?
Back when a lot of people on GSoM wanted Brandon Jennings, someone came up with a nickname for a potential Jennings/Ellis backcourt…
“B. Jellis”
… get it? B. Jellis as in “Be Jealous”. haha.
But yeah, a nickname for Monta and Stephen might be good. They both look the same and are about the same height. Maybe a nickname about their similarities in appearance, or how they can score from anywhere on the court as one (Since Monta is good at slashing and mid-range and Stephen is good at shooting long range).

Seriously...
if that’s true, that would rock. He is still a young guy. He could grow another inch or two.
yeah i heard. i forgot where though.
If he ends up being around 6’4" or 6’5" that would be really good if he played point.

How about we wait until we see how he plays and SOMETHING will come up.

yeah
Everyone already knows he’s a shooter. It’s not like we’re going to give him a nickname that has to do with his shooting and all of a sudden he’s the best dunker in the NBA and we have to think of a new nickname because of his dunking ability.
What is he going to do that would cause us to have to change a nickname that we give him in the offseason? If he ends up a bust we can just stop calling him by his nickname, simple.

Why don’t we just call him whatever we feel like for now until Atma does the official poll of all polls for the nickname?
