The Remainder of our Offseason - Some Ideas

Warning: this post contains my ideas

hahahaha

Frankly, I've been a little disappointed with our Warriors' offseason so far. I mean, I understand the reasoning that we have a nice team, that we just had a lot of injuries last year, and that we've got some nice players developing *cough* Anthony Randolph *cough* (By the way, I have been very impressed by his improvement) However, I would still like to see some more moves from the front office, like signing another free agent in what has been, after all the Stoudemire talks died down, a very quiet offseason for the Warriors.

I really would have liked to see the Warriors go for Ramon Sessions, even offer him the full midlevel because I think the guy can play. For a guy, you barely hear about (probably because he's from Milwaukee) he's got decent stats: 12.4 points, 5.7 assists, but he doesn't hog the ball, and he's a decent defender. But since it seems like the Knicks are offering him their full midlevel, it doesn't seem like they'll get him.

David Lee is still waiting for an offer, except for the Knick's measly one-year, few million dollar contract. It doesn't seem like anybody wants to (or can) make an offer for him because of his restricted status and maybe the Warriors can jump in and capitalize. It seems that a sign and trade is the most likely option, since New York would rather save cap space for 2010, and with his salary probably in the range of 9-11 million, most teams don't have enough space to sign him. Let's say his salary's 10 mil. Then because of his base year compensation, his trade value will be 5 mil. The Warriors could offer Belinelli+Wright and maybe Morrow. While this seems measly, if the Knicks can't make a deal, they'll lose him for nothing, and these are all players that other teams are interested in, despite their lack of PT on the Warriors. If they wanted, they could even switch Wright with Curry (though many people might not like that) Getting Lee could allow the Warriors to shift Randolph to the 3 where he could be a huge matchup problem and they would have 3 long bodies (like the Lakers) around their guards.

The Warriors could offer part of their MLE (maybe 4-5 mil) to Linas Kleiza. He could come off the bench at the 3 or the 4 at would bring some much-needed energy and defense to the W's much like Turiaf has done this last season.

Okay, that's it, tell me what you guys think!

EDIT: Oh yeah, what's with Lamar Odom? The Warriors don't have any cap space, but if he doesn't sign any time soon, and they don't make any other moves, I think they should seriously consider offering him a long-term deal at the midlevel
