“Right now, it all depends on what team I decide I want to go to,” Stoudemire said. “If I want to sign an extension with a mediocre team — probably not. I’ll sign an extension with a team that has a future. You follow what I’m saying? The ball is in their court now.”
I’m not sure, but would we be considered a team that has a future? I’m sure if he were here, we WOULD have a future with our current lineup minus whoever we would lose to get him. (Belinelli, Biedrins, Wright).
On a side note, I’d prefer to have Bosh than Stoudemire but it looks like that that a Stoudemire trade is looking more plausible than a Bosh trade.
WARRIORS BASKETBALL!!! Patiently waiting for a title...I may be waiting for a long time...

hmm
interesting. I just read this too. It sounds like he won’t sign an extension with a team unless they are contenders. At this point, I wouldn’t say that we are there. But would resigning with Phoenix be the same thing? I don’t think they will be any better than we would with Amar’e. Regardless, no deal unless he signs an extension. Otherwise, we’d be throwing money away.
