we have expiring contracts in Claxton and Law. That’s financial relief for next season at least. That’s nothing to sneeze at, if they don’t get a better offer. I suspect we’d have to throw in something else, like Brandon Wright, though.
I doubt we can pull this deal off unless we also take AK-47’s contract. I would love to have both of these guys on our team as they are excellent physical defenders that know how to score (imagine! getting defense AND offense!). Even if we trade just for Boozer, that would work wonders for us.
I wonder which players Riley offered up. Nonetheless, I’m extremely happy that he’s trying to get things done.

Our GM mentioned something about that in his recent interview although not specifically mentioning the Jazz.

do we even have “Jerry Sloan” type guys on our team? Sloan loves physical defenders but as we all know, defense is optional on our team. hmm makes me wonder.
