Golden State's 2K10 Ratings?

When getting an NBA game, the ratings for the team and it's players are important. Playing online i only use the Warriors and I hate when people jack with Lebron or Kobe. I always wonder what it would feel like to have All star type players on the Dubs. My question to you is what do you think the Warriors ratings will be in NBA 2K10?

Star-divide

I will take my guess at what our ratings will be. I think our overall rating should be around 70 to 79 with a 85 on offense and about 67on defense. On to the players

Monta Ellis PG 87- Monta proved at the end of the year that he is still capable of being explosive on offensive and while i don't think he was all the way back to his 07/08 form, he was still good.

Stephen Jackson SF 87- Jack was an 88 on the last 2K roster download so i think he'll still be around that mark. Jackson is a nice all around player and can light it up when on fire.

Kelenna Azubukie SG 83- Nice all around role player. He is a good shooter and rebounder who can also score well.

Anthony Randolph PF 84- Had a 79 rating and after the summer he has had with summer league and USA Camp he should be about 84 or 85.

Andris Biedrins C 87- This was his rating and it will probably remain the same. Andris is a great rebounder, and ok defender and works really well on the pick and roll. Dre can also handle the ball a little for a Center.

Steph Curry PG 79- Did alright in Summer league(nothing too special) but it is summer league. Still Curry was a top draft choice and every one think's he is going to be great(Draft experts and fans).  He should have a great 3pt rating.

Anthony Morrow SG 79- Morrow also had a great summer and will have one of the best 3pt ratings in the game. Morrow can also rebound.

Corey Maggette SF 84- Maggette is a great athlete, free throw shooter and offensive player. He will most likely be around 82-84.

Brandan Wright PF 77- Wright has nice polish around the rim on offense and can rebound aliitle. Brandan is a perfect enery back up player with his althesicm and ability to get in the open court and run.

Ronny Turiaf C 81- Ronny is a good defensive player and and great shot blocker. His enery and hustle are big plus as a back up center.

The rest: Claxton-70, Law-72, George-73

I know these rating probably won't be the exact rating but they should be some where close. For fun what do you think the Warriors ratings will be in NBA 2K10?

I think that’s pretty much about right, but I don’t think Biedrins and Turiaf will be rated that high.

Anthony Morrow should be rated higher than Curry.

It was the shoes!!

Marco should be 99

At least according to raptor fans!

Remember that ratings change during the season. Both AR and morrow’s rating changed I believe as last season progressed.

imho..

and it kind of hurts to say this.. but i think all your numbers are just a little bit high I expect everyone like 1-3 points lower but in the area.., warriors never get respect in video games just like in the real world.. and ever harder for me to say since im probably the biggest corey maggette hater… he’s probably one of the ones that will be rated higher than on your board.

Yup

Everyone should be a bit lower

just look at the 2k9 stats.

they updated them weekly until the finals ended. i dont think they will deviate much. the only questionable stats would be curry’s. i will go wit around 78-79.

I always have trouble with Maggs

He gets so many points off free throws and I can’t get to the line with him either cause he is so slow. And he is not the greatest at finishing at the rim. Any one got any tips for playing with him?

just dont

they did a good job making him terrible in the game just like how he’s terrible in real life. lol

by livingthedream on Aug 2, 2009 9:28 AM PDT up reply actions

He works great for me.

With a live dribble, put him outside of, but facing the lane between the free throw line and the restricted area.

Call the “quick isolation play”.

Either pump fake or drive middle or baseline, basically away from where the defender is shading you.

If you go to the basket, just point the shot stick away from the defender. If you go middle, wait until the defender is moving and then point the shot stick at the basket and you’ll get fouled or score.

Basically, you have to use Maggette like Maggette plays but without taking the stupid jump shots.

The other way is to drive him all the way under the backboard and pump fake until the defender goes up and point the shot stick away from the baseline.

Reduce your carbon footprint, commit suicide.

What i do is

try to get him some easy fastbreak dunks and then after he has got going offensively he is almost unstoppable on offensive. It works for me so i hope it works for you.

try this...

double tap the right trigger or R2 and it will put him into an iso with defender and try bursting to the rim and also try to utilize a spin move or jump stop works pretty well.

Warrior homers

SEVEN Warriors players in the 80’s? I like the enthusiasm, but you are vastly overrating our players. The Magic and Spurs only had 4 players 80+ in 2K9, and the Lakers only had 5, and you think we’ll have seven in 2K10?

Here are my predictions:

Jackson 86
Ellis 84
Biedrins 82
Maggette 81
Randolph 77
Azubuike 76
Turiaf 76
Curry 75
Wright 74
Morrow 74
Law 71
George 70
Claxton 69

Biedrins...

…is too low, as is Randolph. I think Jackson should be 85 at maximum. In all likelihood, I think Curry will get a strong rating, because his three point shooting is going to be high and the perimeter game drives up the guard ratings a lot. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Curry notch an 80.

My list:

Ellis 87
Biedrins 86
Jackson 84
Randolph 82
Maggette 82
Curry 80
Azubuike 77
Morrow 77
Turiaf 76
Wright 74
Law 70
George 70
Claxton 68

by Zack Vank on Aug 2, 2009 4:27 PM PDT up reply actions

Our bench players usually have great three point ratings

Kelenna Azubuike and Marco Belinelli had somewhere around 88-90 on threes. Morrow had a 90+ three point rating too.

by Precise Films Productions on Aug 2, 2009 12:37 AM PDT reply actions

Re: Azubuike

It doesn’t matter what his 3pt rating is since it takes about an hour for him to get his jump shot off.

Reduce your carbon footprint, commit suicide.

by bloodsweatndonuts on Aug 2, 2009 12:10 PM PDT up reply actions

LOL

I hate Azubukie’s jumpshot. He doesn’t have the quickes release in real life but it’s faster than in NBA 2K9. They really need to fix his jumpshot.

True, true, but I can at least get shots up and in from 3 without some dude coming in to block it from the free throw line.

I think the jump shooting difficulty is like this:

1. Azubuike
2. Maggette
3. Jackson

He has a qualifying offer from the dubs I believe

So in theory if he has no other offers he can come back if he wants. And play 2nd/3rd guard behind/in front of curry.

you cant

say that randolph did well in summer league so that will boost his rating, and curry did alright in summer league but summer league doesnt matter

by alexortman on Aug 4, 2009 9:55 AM PDT reply actions

What i meant was

all the media got on the Randolph bandwagon. He got an invitation to USA Camp. AR was rated 79 in 2K9 so hewill most likely be in the low 80’s. Curry was a high draft pick somost likely he is in the high 70’s even though he didn’t dominate in Summer league. Summer leadue doesn’t matter. Randoplh dominated but we saw AR contribute alot last season so it wasn’t really a fluke. Curry didn’t perform as we would have hoped but he hasn’t played 1 game so until he does we can’t tell if Summer league was how he will play in the NBA.
