Golden State Young Guns

Young_gunz_gsom_medium
New Season. New Art Style. New Wallpaper Art. New Warriors.

It's time to get back to Golden State Warriors design business. This is going to be my 3rd season with GSoM ( I'm opting out next season... just kidding!) and with the upcoming season at hand, I am stoked! I wanted to get these three Young Guns on the drawing board with an updated style on my part.

I wanted to get more detailed and refine my style to make it look more cleaner. It's kind of like a cartoon so to speak. And who better to set it off than Golden State's summer sensations than Anthony RandolphAnthony Morrow and Stephen Curry? I just had fun with these, from their facial expressions to their shoes- had to get the shoes down right!

Well I hope you guys are feeling the same way I am with these three... excited! We're just months away from Warriors basketball and I've got my eyes on these young upstarts and their contributions to the team.

Yeah I’m excited too. Randolph is improoving a lot. I’m really looking foward to more Morrow 3’s and I wanna see Stephen Curry in action. With Jackson, Ellis, AB, and Buike on the side, it’s gonna be a killer!

That's really good Tony

though I don’t get why Curry’s Warriors logo on his shorts has an orange background while the other two are red.

Definatly excited about this season

I want to see Randolph make a big jump this season and be one of the most improved players. I want Morrow to get better and maybe be in the 3 point shootout, and Curry be one of the top Rookies. I hope All 3 of Randolph, Morrow, and Curry make the Rook/Soph game and Represent Golden State. And that isn’t even mentioning Monta Ellis who is still my favorite Warrior and i want to see if he can be even better than his 07/08 form and be more of a PG so i’m pumped for this season.

Beautiful as always

The look on AR’s face is perfection! All he’s missing are large cartoonish tears of…intensity? Ha.

Wow - thanks for breaking it down

No question you have skills Tony – your attention to detail is impressive. One question – doesn’t Monta still count as a young gun? Since he came straight out of HS especially?

Yes sir...

I’ll add him and pretty much everyone in our roster in due time. This was like a drawing session (that took 3 days) I wanted to pull off based on our summer league series. I tried doin’ Acie law but just ran outta time…

Biedrins is younger than Monta, and Monta was a 20 year old rookie right out of high school…

Very nice work. Like your choice of players, too. Let’s just hope that Nellie actually gives these guys the minutes they deserve.

Morrow

Looks like he’s about to commit a carry of Kobe/Iverson/Jordan proportions.

Looking at the original pic

I think he was holding the ball, calling for a screen.

The ever revolving door of the GSW FO and Warrior fans being delusional with the "youth movement" and "potential"

Not to knock the art, but the infatuation over our youth movement is getting a little delusional. Brandon Roy was a young gun, Kevin Durant was a young gun. They actually started for their team. Our supposed “young guns” haven’t done anything.

Warriors and Warrior fans have this revolving door of overhyping our players and falling in love with avg. young players and hailing them as the 2nd coming of something bigger than a role player.

Just like Dunleavy, Troy Murphy, Ike Diogu, Chris Taft, Monta Ellis (a superstar!), POB, etc etc.

Stephon Curry hasn’t done anything yet and is anything but a “cant-miss” (being the 5th guard chosen in the draft). Morrow is a only a Eddie House clone who is not and will not be a starter unless Monta is traded. Anthony Randolph is the only true young gun but he played big minutes in only like 20 games.

Us Warrior fans really are delusional. So much youth hype infatuation for bench players who haven’t accomplished anything.

This team is chalk full of overhyped “maybe” prospects and a good amount of avg/above avg. players but no GREAT players, no STARS.

If you are against a trade of Curry/Biedrins for Amare, which many were, you are retarded. What other team would balk a trade for a young all-nba dominant PF because of some unproven college kid? Only the Warriors would value “maybe’s” over “proven superstar.”

Just FYI...

Anthony Randolph will be at McCovey’s in Downtown Walnut Creek on Monday 8/17 at 7pm. He’ll be doing an interview and hanging out. Come on down and show some support.
