I think Steph Curry will have a good NBA career with Golden State but do you think it be as our Point Guard? Knight thinks so

Curry and monta should play SG and SF because they can both score. point guards should never score.

“point guards should never score.”

Why should point guards never score, exactly…?

I’m guessing that was sarcasm

You do realize Baron was our leading scorer?

And we did pretty good….

Trade w the Raptors

Biedrins, Azubuike, and Wright
for
Bosh

PG CURRY – LAW
SG ELLIS – MORROW
SF JACKSON – MAGGETTE
PF RANDOLPH
C BOSH – TURIAF

We could probably do:

Biedrins + Law + Speedy + Wright OR Azabuki

or possibly even keep them both and throw in george. That is, if they want expiring contracts.

So we give up those 3 players for one year of Bosh? You also realize 3 big men isn’t enough, right?

Haha, I see you’ve met the gambino spam-bot, MB. The gambino spam-bot appears on the board every couple of weeks or so to spit out a random trade proposal, generally in a random thread (like this one) that has nothing to do with its proposal. The substance of the gambino spam-bot’s post is generally a hypothetical new Warriors roster with the players names in ALL CAPS. As far as I know, the gambino spam-bot has not once produced a complete English sentence of explanation or justification for one of its proposed trades, nor does it generally reply when asked to provide one.

My advice: do not engage the gambino spam-bot. Quietly ignore it and wait for it to put itself to sleep or get unplugged.

On topic: “as good a passer as has ever played college basketball”??? As good as that Earvin kid from MSU, that Bird kid from ISU, that Isiah kid who played for him at Indiana, that Paul kid from Wake…? Yeah, Bobby Knight’s a bit of a clown, but I’m a total sucker for that kind of stuff when it’s thrown the Warriors’ way. Against my better instincts … I’m excited.

Just want to point out you left off the best of them all, that kid from Gonzaga. To keep the west coast love going another two to the list are the kids from Cal and Santa Clara…

I have to say, I’m curious to see how Curry and the other pieces we have fit together. It should be an interesting year, and we should learn a lot about the players we have.

maybe he passes as well...

but doesn’t have the rest of the game to really enable it to shine. ;-)

I would love to see Curry turn out to be half (ok, 3/4ths) the point guard that Magic, Isaiah, CP3, Nash, DWill, and Stockton have proved themselves to be on the NBA level (to mix past and present.)

Phoenix Suns

Same trade but replace Bosh w Stat.

by gambinofam on Aug 16, 2009 12:09 AM PDT reply actions

Why not? The suns were ready to deal for #7 pick + Andris + Wright + marco before we decided we wanted to keep the #7 since curry fell to us…I think buki had more value than the #7 and marco together. Also, we do have 3 expiring contracts we can deal as well (Claxton, Law, George).

The bad part of trading buike

Maggs becomes a starter and we loose another 3pt starter, which nellie would hate I assume.

Now if we can include some expirings…

Did You See the Video???

The video and the post are about Curry! Not Bosh or Amare! I am just sick of hearing you guys cry about those two. Neither of them have ever won a championship.

Amare hasn’t and he has been on a very good team most of his career! And now he is blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other one…so quit your crying.

I would like to see what our current team can do without the add ons! If Curry’s passing and vision is even close to the hype, the Warriors will make progress towards the playoffs this season!

“Neither of them have ever won a championship.”

They’re no Mark Madsen, that’s for sure. If only we had winners. :(
