Stephen Jackson Trade Idea
Stephen Jackson wants out of Golden State, and wants to find a contending team.
The Miami heat would be an ideal place for Stephen Jackson. With a lack of supporting scorers, the Miami heat looked for such players as Lamar Odom and Carlos Boozer. Although Boozer can still be dealt to Miami, the wing player or lack of wings remains one of Miami's biggest holes.

Why the Warriors would do it- Cap Relief. If we enter the season without Stephen Jackson, Corey Maggette, and the already traded Jamaal Crawford, we will not only be years younger, but emerge as prime contenders for the 2010 off-season. Further more, Jackson and Maggette often refuse to pass the ball, and can stop ball movement on offense. Claxton is just to make the trade happen. The addition of Jermaine O'Neal will add some desperately needed depth at the 4 and 5, and brings a mobile bigman, who when healthy, fits well in Nellie ball.
Why the Heat would do it- More weapons for Wade. No team has a worse supporting cast than the Miami Heat. While Chalmers, Beasley, and Jones are solid role players, Wade clearly doesn't have a solid #2 option. Jackson and Mags would instantly bring scoring to South Beach. Either one can get expendable to bring Carlos Boozer to Miami as well. Jermaine O'Neal isn't going to change the Miami heat, and realistically, they won't find a much better offer anyways.
Why the Warriors wouldn't do it- There isn't too many reasons why this would hurt Golden State. The talent level would decline, but we aren't exactly planning for a ring this year, although that would be nice. Ultimately, the biggest fear in losing Jackson and Maggette is the warriors turning into "Lord of the Flies." A bunch of youngster without an older superior to watch over, turn into chaos.
Why the Heat wouldn't do it- While Dwade doesn't seem like the guy who plays the game for money, this trade would hurt their chances of getting Wade. In addition, if the trade turns out to fail, they not only will likely loss Wade, but will not be able to sign any major free agents in 2010.

beefy athletic 2 in ronnie brewer to go along with the small monta and andrei who can play the 3 and 4. in this trade we get rid of both maggette and stephen jackson and take on 2 capable startes that can mix in with our system that will share the ball and dont have bad attitudes. front office lets see you make it happen!
I actually like this one
First good Jackson trade proposal? I think so!
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "Your a rookie"
love it
But there’s no way the heat are going to let go of O’neal, why would they?
Infinite Ammo
The Manhattan Project
The Mississippi Bullet

Stack Jack
Beans
Biceps Buike
TMNT
its called an expiring contract.
It is said that Patrick Willis was genetically engineered from the DNA of Chuck Norris and Black Jesus.
The trade is not going to work because the salaries do NOT match, that was my point.
"IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!"

why would you even consider takin on o’neal. the mans old. we already have a young biedrins and hi flying superstar to be anthony randolph.
Expiring contract…..

so your willing to watch the warriors go through another rebuilding season? why trade for a contract and rebuild in 2010? do you think the FO will do something smart with the money they have? is there anyone willing to come to a team that has been to the playoffs once since i was born? do you know that noone else wants to see us rebuild again and watch people like monta ellis and anthony randolph demand a trade because our team is just not championship caliber? sure we can take on jermaine o’neal. why dont we get chris brown while were at it. you could come up with other ways to get rid of a bad contract. the clips did it why cant we?
1. We play better basketball, with smarter shots, and more ball movement w/o mags and jackson
2. An O’Neal expiring contract will let us go after Bosh in 2010
3. The warriors aren’t going anywhere past the first round anyways. It’d not like Mags or Jackson can lead us to the finals.

yo obviously dont know how to read. we can trade jack and maggette for better players than oneal! we dont have to settle for a expiring contract. why not go out and get people that can actually still play with smaller contracts. bosh does not want to come to the bay! wouldnt you want to see anthony randolph as our pf of the future and not give up his minutes to bosh. we can spend our money on the 2010 free agency on a sg or sf. we have enough expiring contracts to do so. and there are already teams interested in jack and maggette the FO just cant do anything right to make things happen.
and if we go for bosh does that leave us money for when AR and AM need an extension? i hope you dont plan on blowin all the money we have on one guy and leave our talented players left broke.
How can we get better value than them. Jackson and Maggette only would be of value to either championship teams or teams near that stage (Houston, Miami, Utah, Dallas, ect.) That said, no championship team would give us anyone good, because if they are an important part of the team, they clearly wouldn’t be dealt. On an almost contending teams, they normally only have 1 or 2 quality players anyways. I don’t see anything wrong with trading for an expiring contract like O’Neal or MacGrady. And BTW, if we don’t trade Mags, Jackson, or both, not only will we not be able to sign a big free agent in 2010, but we won’t even be able to extend AR and Ammo’s contracts.

I doubt that Jackson and Maggette would be traded for Jemaine Oneal because the Miami Heat would laugh and hang up. Jackson and Maggette are basically negative value because of there contracts. No one is giving up good players for those guys. I would love to trade Jackson and Maggette for Oneal, but Miami would probably demand (actually Miami wouldnt do the trade because they have a boat load of slary cap space next year) either Wright or Curry or both. I probably would be ok to give up Wright but Curry I would probably be a llitlle bit wary of.

I want Bosh. I want LeBron. I want an All-Star.
If we can trade to get T-Mac or JO, we’re set to make a move for a big name. It could completely change the face of our franchise. I’m willing to watch our young gunners grow before an All-Star comes.

Could be very helpful to all teams involved.
The Heat would get great bench and a great SF.
The Rockets would get the backup center they need and a great 6th man as well as s-jax.
The Warriors would be able to get Bosh/Amare/etc without losing Andris/Ellis/Randolph.

it’s not about O’Neal. It’s about getting rid of 2 of the worse contracts in the NBA
It is said that Patrick Willis was genetically engineered from the DNA of Chuck Norris and Black Jesus.
If “we” know there the “worst” in the NBA why would they not know it and why would they take the 2 “worst” contracts and give up an expiring at the same time? Are they that nice, would they consider giving us Wade as well?
There's a party in my mind.
And I wish that I was there.
1. you don’t need to be a douche bag qin
2. Even with their contracts, the Heat and Warriors have 2 different mind sets. Miami is out to prove to Wade that they want to win him another championship. He is not the type of guy that demands 20 mil a year, and even with that said, the Heat would still have enough money w/ Jackson and Mags to give Wade a nice contract. The Warriors on the other hand don’t need anymore scorers, and certainly don’t want more bad shot selector shooter. So its a win for both teams. Warriors add depth at center, heat get two 20 point scorers.
3. The Heat can always deal one of them to Utah w/ Beasley or Chalmers and get Boozer, so that’s even more value for them.

A trade that I like
I don’t particularly care for Stephen Jackson so hearing that he wants to leave suits me just fine. The trade proposed with Miami is not bad but I don’t want a broken down guy in O’Neal. Here is what I propose:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lnfqrb
Miami get’s Jackson and Maggette. These are 2 guys that can score and help Dwayne Wade and possibly make him happy enough to resign with the Heat.
Phoenix gets cap relief in O’Neal and his expiring contract. They have shown already that they are committing to rebuilding and saving some money.
Warriors get Stoudemire whom everyone (including me) has been wanting to get and JRich returns to the team that drafted him and should have NEVER EVER TRADED HIM!
Percent chance of this trade actually happening… 0%
Another option
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lg4a9v
I think this one might be a bit more do-able. Stephen Jackson has already said that he wants to be traded to a Texas team and Dallas has shown some interest in him. Dallas also gets Maggette who can be a potent scorer off the bench with Jason Terry. They get rid of Josh Howard and his antics and that stiff named Eric Dampier.
Phoenix gets expiring contracts in Acie Law and Josh Howard and Eric Damiper in another year. They might want to look into buying out Dampier if this trade were to actually happen.
The Warriors dump the big contracts that they have tied to old players. They hang on to their youth and potential. They get the big man that Don Nelson and many Warrior fans have been coveting and they get back the heart of the team in Jason Richardson. The team gets a lot bigger and better defensively and on the boards without losing too much of the up tempo style.
Warriors lineup:
Monta Ellis
Jason Richardson
Kelena Azubuike
Anthony Randolph
Amare Stoudemire
Stephen Curry
Anthony Morrow
Devean George
Ronny Turiaf
Andris Beidrins
Brandan Wright
Percentage chance of this trade happening…. 1%
