We all know its been a long time since we had a someone on our roster play in an all-star game. I'm sure this question has been asked before but I figured it is time to bring it up again. Will a warror be an all-star this year? If not this year who and when?
I'll list the players on the roster that I think have the best shot and their competition.
Guard: Monta Ellis
An exciting player to watch I think he is the closest to being an all-star but is also in the most stacked position in the West.
Verdict: He would have to take a big leap to get selected. Not gonna happen this year.
Forward: Anthony Randolph
Has a huge amount of raw talent, but needs a lot more polish on his game to be an All-star.
Verdict: He won't be an all-star this year but there is room for him to make it in the next couple years if he keeps improving.
He is a solid center and while I don't think of him as an all-star this position has had the most dubious selections over the years.
Veterans: Nene, Yao, Marcus Camby, (depeding what position they list him)Paul Gasol, Tim Duncan, Amare
Verdict: With Yao out for the year and Shaq back in the East the center spot is the most open race of any. However if the NBA lists Duncan, Gasol, and Amare as centers Andris won't have a chance, but there is a glimmer of hope here.
Well I think its pretty unlikely that we will have an all-star in 2010, but I think one of our young layers will earn the honor in the next three years. What do you think?
