NBA 2K10 custom arena sounds - Warriors need assistance

NBA 2K10 Custom Arena Music - Golden State Warriors [V.1]

This year's edition of 2K basketball features custom arena sounds, ranging from team events to player songs (after they score). It's an amazing new idea that will improve the environment of games by a huge margin. Other guys are starting to assemble their tracks for their teams, and I've gotten started for the Warriors.

Star-divide

Right now, I've consulted with a few people and have 4 players matched with songs. These are seemingly good choices but I'm certainly up for suggestions. However, my first objective is to complete the roster completely and then we can move onto the timeout, intro, etc. music.

The game drops October 6th so ideally we can get this done by then and share it with other 2K10 fans so the Warriors are adequately represented and Oracle is a unique experience in the game.

Given that the Warriors really don't have any official music, it's up to us what we choose so let's hear it!

Much appreciated GSOM.

EDIT: Here is every category needed to be filled.

THE ONLY SONG THAT SHOULD BE PLAYED IN ORACLE

is

“I Got 5 On It”

by the Luniz

I cannot remember a single game when that song was not played.

Also, back in the B-Diddy days they always played

“Next Episode” by Dr. Dre and Snoop (Reference the AK47 Dunk)

Agree, "I Got 5 On It" is the ultimate Oakland anthem

but when watching other teams on national tv, ive noticed other teams (i forget which teams) using the song

This might sound crazy but

When I was watching the Jazz on tv last year I swear I heard “California Love” playing in the arena. And it wasn’t just the instrumental, you could hear Dr. Dre rapping in the background. Anyway, that song should be for California teams only.

If I don't like it, I don't like it, that don't mean that I'm hatin.

LOL

I remember after Game 1 of the Warriors/Mavs series. The game was over and the arena was playing "Try Again by Aaliyah since the Mavs lost.

It’s not that funny, but I thought it was interesting that the Warriors shocked them in that first game and had the Mavs playing a song to try to cheer them up from the loss.

as played out as this song is, “Tell Me When To Go” by E-40 and Keak da Sneak should be an honorable mention. this song came out roughly around the same time as our playoff run.

Appreciate the suggestions so far...

“I Got 5 On It” will definitely be incorporated somewhere, maybe during timeouts? I’ll probably just use the instrumental though (I’m planning to do that for all timeout songs I pick, actually).

“Tell Me When To Go” is solid but there are plenty of notable Bay tracks that would be unique to the Warriors.

Not going to use the Trackrunners song because while it’s completely Warriors-based, it’s outdated and mentions Baron, J-Rich, etc.

Keep the input coming.

I’m looking for individual player songs now. So if you have any ideas for Biedrins, Turiaf, etc. please let me know.

a Defense and Lets Go Warriors chant

Can you have a song playing during certain plays?

You should have Onyx-Slam during slam dunks. That would be nice. Or on the allyoops.

This is probably really lame

but “Jump (For My Love)” by the Pointer Sisters at tipoff, just to represent Oakland for some of the old fogeys like myself.

a few non-hip-hop suggestions

I’ve seen the cheerleaders dance to “Harder, Better, Faster Stronger” by Daft Punk a few times.

During climactic points of the game “Enter Sandman” by Metallica usually comes on and I think before the third quarter I often hear “Right Here, Right Now” by Fat Boy Slim and they also play “Push the Tempo” sometimes.

I wouldn’t really know where to begin with player-specific songs. I don’t think they have any in real life, but I like the one you have for SJax and obviously Curry.

I really doubt these are Oracle specific but

“Tom Sawyer” by Rush and “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John come on for either Home up Court or Away Up Court, maybe the former away and the latter home?

Little out of date...

…but during the We Believe Playoff Run, Mistah F.A.B. put out a track called “Go Warriors” using the beat from “NEW Oakland.” I had it but I can’t find it. U could throw that in wherever u want. It’s just out of date bc he mentions players that are long gone, unfortunately lol. (Baron, J-Rich, Barnes, Pietrus, TMNT.)

Anthony Morrow's jumper is so pure, he has to cut it with baking soda.
