I loved these interviews
seems like they’re finally speaking what fans have been saying for a while already.
Good a little chip and angst is better than indifference.

Ellis’s interview was interesting. I definitely liked what he had to say about his kid. I wish him well with that. I liked his obvious desire to win. I love that. I didn’t like him not saying, “I have to play well for us to win.” I’d rather see that. He was right about him and Curry not working together. He and Morrow and he and Jack will be more effective. He doesn’t sound too honest about one or two things. Still, it does sound like he’s dead serious about winning. I say, go Monta. If he brings us wins, I’m all for him.

I actually look at that differently. I think it is him taking a step in the right direction, being a leader. A leader will put responsibility on others in order to help them feel like they must be held responsible for the teams outcome. Him saying that it rides on every person for the team to do well, to me, was the right thing to say and seemed like a very mature thing to say.

I think a leader leads by example. To say, “I have to play well to win,” suggests he feels compelled to win and won’t blame anyone else but himself for failure. That’s a better attitude. Logically, yeah, it’s on the rest of the team, too. But emotionally, it’s always better to say, “It’s on me. I take full responsibility. I can’t blame anyone.”

Ellis apparently agrees with you:
-Q: Being a leader, does that mean being the point guard?
-ELLIS: Nope. Being a leader means lead by example. Say what I mean and mean what I say. And I can’t go out and tell nobody to do this when I’m not out there doing it myself. You know, lead by example. Be that leader.
I like what he said, because he also spoke about coming out and showing that he was 100% and acknowledged that he was the franchise player. He understands that he is very important to this team, but he also knows he is not the whole team and he needs his team to step up for the team to succeed. Hence,
You’ve got to hold everybody accountable, from the head coach all the way down to the last player on the bench. Gotta hold everybody accountable.
I think he knows Randolph and Morrow are going to be a big part of this teams success. I think he has a lot of faith in Beidrins and Turiaf. I think he trust Maggette to be reliable as a strong role player. If he can get through to Jackson, he knows the good Jackson can do. So far, Monta is doing exactly what I would want him to.
this shows a lot
Rowell: “We stand by Jack… Jack is Jack. What that means is expect the unexpected.”
Are you serious? What kind of a team president are you? We know Rowell doesn’t have much basketball sense, but this goes beyond the sport. He is gonna stand by someone who played him like nobodies business, outwardly bashed the franchise and his disconcern with the front office, and just DOES NOT WANT TO BE THERE!!! A model franchise doesnt expect the unexpected with the players. They know what to expect because they are in charge! Basically, Jackson and other players have more power than the team president. This is simply baffling to me and how lil bobby could say these words and that the organization is consistently building for a winner is beyond me.

Sadly for Rowell
he’s cornered and has no other response. If he publicly responds in any negative way towards Jack, Jack wins, because Jack made Rowell lose control of himself.
It’s kind of like when someone insults you, and you insult the other person back, he wins, because he made you take action and respond to him.

Baron left for more money
SJax keeps thinking we traded him or something.
Baron left for more money but it also had to do with Rowell and Cohan...
"IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!"
but his contract was vetoed by Rowell
but also, Mullin got axed for being too player-friendly. then Rowell signs jack to that ungodly contract because he said they were friends. Robert Rowell, you are just plain stupid. If you think Sjax of all people gives a shit about you, then you are out of your mind.

haha
Oh man… Jack even said “I’m not stupid, I didn’t go to college but I know how to get paid.” Robert Rowell… you’re an idiot.
Robert Rowell… you’re an idiot.
You guys are making too much outta this drama, Jax is a pro and when they throw up the ball he’ll be playin his heart out . All this media attention is just fishing for ratings and readers. Don’t worry about what they say , worry about how they play when they get on the court. Do they have enough size, experience, toughness, etc., talk is cheap but the fundamentals of the game are still the same.
