Now it's time to see what Stephen Curry aka Masala aka Stef-fun can do during the 2010 NBA All-Star Weekend in the Rookie-Soph game!

Rookies vs Sophomores?

Looks more like small ball vs tall ball

Steph Curry is great ball handler!

As a Point Guard..this is one of the most important things I want to see a PG be. Combine that then with great assists, court vision and general game knowledge and work ethic… you have the makings of a good point guard…

Throw in an ability to shoot, set off ball screens and a great ability to steal the ball….you have the makings of a GREAT PG…

He’ll get there! ;-)

Curry definitely has a shot at the ROY

The Kings aren’t winning many games anymore, same as the WArriors. Curry is only going to get better

And if Kevin Martin can start playing well, it might hurt Tyreke’s numbers. Tyreke better just go ahead and hire someone to take out Curry’s kneecaps with a baseball bat if he really wants to win ROY.

Huh.

Jerebko, Casspi, Gibson, up against Lopez, Love, Gasol.
Not hard to see who is getting crushed in that game.

Still, I’m really looking forward to it.

No kidding and with all the bigs coming out this year. Next year’s challenge may be the first time the Rooks win.

Next year’s challenge may be the first time the Rooks win.

on the NBA website, it says the sophomores hold an 8-2 edge. So the rookies have won twice already.

I don't think that it's been said

I’d like to see a starting Curry/Evans backcourt though.

by Reverend_Randy on Jan 27, 2010 2:02 PM PST up reply actions

With the lack of size on the team, I wouldn’t be surprised if the starters were Jennings/Curry/Evans/Blair and either Casspi or Gibson.

John Hollinger..Of course he hates the Warriors...from todays chat

Was Flynn over Lawson for the rookie game the right choice? It seems Lawson got snubbed…
John Hollinger (2:20 PM)

Lawson should have made it over Curry. Unfortunately rookie game picks have been far more dependent on minutes than productivity; Curry hasn’t been bad but Lawson has been vastly better.

by Larry_Smith on Jan 27, 2010 2:51 PM PST reply actions

and another from same chat

Jeff (Cleveland)

Lawson vastly better than Curry? What are you smoking down there?
John Hollinger (2:27 PM)

I had no expectation that I would need to defend this statement, but enough people apparently believe Curry is better that I guess I must. Per-minute, they create just as many shots and score just as many points, but Lawson has more assists, fewer turnovers and shoots a higher percentage; plus, he periodically guards people. The only difference is that Lawson was drafted by a team that already had Chauncey Billups, so he only plays 22 minutes a game. But he’s clearly been better.

one more

Sachikevious (Greece)

You should try watching a Warrior game every now and then John. Curry SHUTDOWN Tyreke Evans in the second half of last nights game.
John Hollinger (2:36 PM)

And the Golden State homers are back. Question for fans in the Bay: At what point do you turn on this team? How many 27-55 campaigns will you need to suffer through before you stop slurping up every drop of PR spin thrown your away about this team?

by Larry_Smith on Jan 27, 2010 2:54 PM PST up reply actions

We went 29-53 last season

you dummy! And this is only our second losing season in a row. Maybe you should check our facts before you nationally ridicule us!

Does that nitwit realize Lawson was drafted by Minnesota?
