Around SBN: Ray Allen Fighting Age, Injury And His New Role

Think in 12 years Nellie will come back once again to save the Warriors? It has happened before: The Dirty Dozen- Part 1 | 2 | 3

Also see It might not be over just yet for Don Nelson [CBS Sports], which features this ridiculous statement:
"The Warriors kind of went to a ridiculous state of limbo under him and he basically crushed young talents like Anthony Randolph and Brandan Wright with some of the head games he played with them."

No one plays head games like Nellie

He injured them with his mental powers ;)

Ridiculous amounts of yellow journalism

Raptors

Calderon, Barbosa, DeRozan, Amir johnson, Bargnani has a real Nellie feel to it. Actually if Bargnani is ever going to be anything of a productive player it’ll be under Don Nelson. Though I tend to believe Nellie might have a heart attack with Bargnani.

I shudder at the thought of actually having to endure that lineup. If we thought the lack of D and rebounding was bad here…

Ha, SO true

I think De Rozan has a bright future though.

He’s excellent inside 10 ft (62% at the rim, 56.2% less than 10ft) and showed good potential at the 16-23ft (38%)

Defensively he has tools to be a good defensive player but no one will look good with bargnani, Calderon and rest of that team. Another player KAAAAHNNN should have taken over his 10 pg’s

Canning Nellie?

made the new owners look like a couple of Jr. high girls . Imagine the rocking good times of a season long farewell to the winningest coach in history, the media, fans, and players woulda loved it.

Lights please, lights please, turn off the lights.

+1

But the reality is – new owners always want to put their stamp on a team immediately.

There’s a good chance that Nellie would have gotten this team to the playoffs — then what if he decided he wanted another couple years???

i would have preferred a farewell tour.

Well then you wouldn't have preferred this roster as it's composed or winning basketball

because a Nelly farewell tour would’ve been another wasted year with another undersized and under-coached team.
