If we packaged Wright and Vlad what is the best we could get?
I already brought this up with Vlad but throwing in BW would help a little bit. Vlad's expiring will go for something and BW has an expiring. Minus those 2 by the deadline our team is Curry, Lin , Ellis, Reggie, Bell, Wright, Carney,Lee, Amundson,Adrien, Beans, Udoh, and Gaz. Should we go for a draft pick? A backup PG? And who would the inactives be?

i dont think there is a team out there dumb enough to take on vladys expiring contract for a 2nd round pick. that would make our team so much better. it would def be a case of addition by subtraction.
"Warrior Pride Till The Day I Die"
2nd rounders really aren't worth much
And Vlad has a big expiring, some teams wuld trade s olid player for a big expiring. Package BW with him you’d for sure get a 2nd

I'm for gathering up a bunch of second rounders...
since they’re not guaranteed. They end up helping fill the bench. We could have used a backup PG and center. It’s short sighted to trade 2nd rounders for cash because otherwise one ends up paying to fill the bench. Of course, one could get lucky and end up with a Monta Ellis.

oh and as for b wright
what exactly has he shown this season? because all ive gotten outta watching him play was that he wasnt worth giving up j-rich, or the 8th overall pick in 08, or that he has any idea how to play basketball, or that hes any kind of upgrade over vlady.
i would ship him out for the first offer that we get and cut our losses. plain and simple…brandan wright is not an nba caliber player.

+1, I’m beginning to think B Wright is a bum

Judging by his past stats, he certainly is an NBA caliber player.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is Monta Ellis when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
I wish we could do this:

trade for prince imo
expiring for expiring, we throw in wright now they have a “building block”. yah that probably doesnt happen unless dumars is really really drunk or if vladrad finds a way to blackmail him like he’s blackmailing smart.
Goal: 8 seed!
that would be a pretty bad trade for the pistons...
they can get much better for prince…or re sign him.

there's no need to do anything
let them expire
sign someone better next offseason

I'd at least trade 1 of them
See if we can’t get anyone to help us get in the playoff push and to clear up the log jam we will have upfront. If Vlad continues to get love for no reason he has to go before he takes time from guys like Udoh

mmhmm
The other point is that a couple years down the road it’s gonna start to cost to keep this core together, assuming that happens. Some of those millions may well be needed at that point.
Baseball is a chamber orchestra. Football is a marching band. Basketball is a modern quintet. jazz, rock, hiphop, pop/ all about the beat./ still my revolution not/ til you dance through it.
i think vlad wright and bell are our first priorities..
i trade for Bass of the orlando.. bass is the interior pf that we been needing. he has a jump shot and a beast on the glass nd works hard.. i think he will be the perfect backup for the warriors bench….
He’s signed to a two-year contract. What do you mean?
There will be no extra point!

ya but at this rate
the second year of the deal is better than what he’d get on the open market. it looks like he will excersize that option at this point.

Bass is solid
Would be a good pick up
Dr. Jeff
I just think if we can get Lee back and then get
Amundsen and Udoh playing that poistion will go from weak to a point of stregnth, especially they way Adrien looked.
I really think we need to get a decent back up point. With Lin being 1 or 2 years away from being reliable. That should be our focus.

How about we trade them just for thick rubber bands
because we’ll get more toughness out of that and they rebound all the time
Why are we trading Wright? He's good.

He has continued to show the pattern of playing ‘vets’ over young players. Vlad? Moore?
Wheres Wright? Carney?

When Udoh and Louis come back
Playing time for him will be hard to find , it’s a logjam with Beans, Lee, BW, Udoh, Louis, Gaz, and Adrien

Asset to entice team to take Vlad Rad
Think about it. Any team looking at Vlad is most likely a team looking to rebuild. AKA they want expirings and young talent. The duo would give that and allow us to get 10 mil in return. Right trade could net us a couple really useful players.
First Rounder
if we could convert our expiring contracts into someone meaningful to build around then we should do that but if not, we should try to get a first round pick for them. even if it’s a late first rounder. that way we could give one of our picks to NJ and keep the better one.
Potential Trade Partners for Vlad Rad?
It’s likely we won’t be able to trade him until the deadline, but as a 7 million dollar expiring he should be a valuable asset to a team looking to rebuild.
Best I came up with Cleveland. They have been interested in trading Varejao to help rebuild. They have a roster full of ‘good’ role players. Guys who could help us on the bench.
How would Varejao and Anthony Parker for BWright and Vlad Rad sound? Parker is a good ballhandling SG who could play next to monta when curry is off the floor. Helps our wing depth. Varejao is an ideal ‘3rd big’
Hmm… maybe. It would probably be a tough sell, though. I’d wait a few months to start shopping B. Wright, because I think he’ll start having some much more impressive games.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is Monta Ellis when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
thats true and we will have to anyway
but Smart has to give him some minutes. WIth David Lee out, our chances of winning are low anyways. It can’t hurt to give him a shot. He is the first player to go into Coach’s doghouse.
"You need to get real!"
There playing too good to trade Varjao right now imo

those trades are pretty good actually
I like the first two.
I doubt we could ever pull this off, but it would be epic if extension talks with Howard fail they may want to lose him. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=29vzf7r
This way, orlando gets two talented young players, and expiring contracts. Warriors get the best center in the league to play along side Curry.

I don't think
we need to include wright to get tj ford
I like the Jack Joey Dorsey one
They will trade Varejao by the deadline if they are out of playoff chase
Which most likely they will be. He’s a nice player but if they want to rebuild he’s one of there best assets to get expirings + young talent. Really, we’d need BWright to perform well to justify it though… cause contending teams could probably top that offer
Iggy?!?!?!
I know this topic has been done to death on this site (and elsewhere)
But I keep hearing that if Philly does let Iggy go, it’s going to want young talent and some expirings….
we have both, Iggy would really solidify our team, wtf?
Although I think back-up PG is clearly our biggest need, it seems like we should be able to use our expirings, plus some young talent to get a valuable player.
"There's more to life than basketball. I can't play this game my whole life. I'm just trying to figure out what I like to do and meet some cool people along the way." -Chris Bosh
with Iggy...
We should be able to play him + Monta when Curry is out and have enough playmaking. It’s still not ideal but it could work for stretches
i always wanted brandon bass to be on the warriors back in the day
but idk, hes older now and its a different team but that might be nice
How about these two trades
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=26do37k and http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=22szstw this gets us bulkier up front another legit scorer that would mesh with curry and some depth on the bench.
