the Sad Story of Baron Davis
LA clippers just recently benched Baron Davis.
this article really rips into baron, but i can't help thinking that most of the things said are unfortunately true, although i didnt see any of that back then, i guess i was blinded by fanaticism

i still miss him.
i dont even care if he sucks
It's just a plant, it grows in the earth, and if you happen to set it on fire there are some effects...
a change of scenery
If some sort of trade were to follow through with Baron, I think he’d return to all star caliber form. Los Angeles is way too comfortable to make him focus on what should be his main priority, especially with all the guaranteed money he sees from the clips and the ugly Li Ning line. I hope he ends up somewhere like New York, or re-united with Stack Jack in Charlotte, with a fresh start to reprove why he was looked at as a franchise player. Boom still has my respect mannnnnn.
All Star form??
Never again will Diddy reach such Giddy heights….he’s done.
Its a new dawn...its a new day...its a new owner ....for us!!!!! and I'm FEELING GOOD!!!!!!

And apparently Oakland and New Orleans were, too. At some point you have to say maybe it’s Baron, and not the scenery…

He was a machine during We Believe
He could post up ANY guard in the league, and he was quicker than most of them too. He also elevated his game in 4th quarters.

W's dodged a bullet
For all the griping the fans gave the W’s for not extended Baron, it’s sure looking like a brilliant (non) move.
Sure, our signing of Maggs was pretty bad, but there’s light at the end of that tunnel end of this season. The Clips are stuck with Baron 3 more years!!! I’d bet they buy him out end of this season.
I don’t think it’s fair to say his injury his own fault. Sometimes a bad knee is just always going to be bad. Even in Baron’s best conditioned years he’s had to ice the heck out of his knee daily.
Were it not for his Albatross of a contract, I think Baron could be great on a good team. A team where he’s clearly the 3rd or 4th best player. He could be a Mark Jackson type veteran PG, there to dish the ball to the stars. Not being the STAR, he’d feel less pressure to chuck the 3’s, which is really his achilles heel.
really?
Baron is like the randy moss of the nba, he’ll play when motivated. The extension in 08 was for 3 years. It’s now 10-11, he would be a valuable expiring contract which could net something in return or he’d be playing his a** off to get a new contract. Baron was a beast in GS and if Nelson had any idea of playing more than 3 bench players BD would still be a warrior. I hope he gets traded to a team he’ll play hard for
Baron was a beast in GS
Much in the same way Moss was a beast in Minnesota or New England – he had his good years, and his not so good years. Why do people just forget that 2005-2006 happened?

You know, this might be a sad story for the Clippers but the way I see it:
Kid from south central grows up, makes millions of dollars, has broad interests beyond sport, isn’t a “sad” story.

not sad at all, looks like Boom played it perfectly?
Lights please, lights please, turn off the lights.

Good point, I wish him all the best in his film endevours. It’s nice to see an athlete with some vision and outside interests who seems genuinely passionate about something and seems to really enjoy it. That said, from a basketball perspective, it is sad – pretty classic/stereotypical story of unfulfilled potential.
