Christmas miracle came early this year?
I’m excited for the win, but to be completely honest this isn’t anything to be proud of. We had to rely on a complete Kings meltdown to secure an overtime win over a 5-20 (now 21) team? Bleh…
Yeah, I'm with you
But wait until tomorrow for reality to set it. Let’s enjoy the thrill for tonight. We’re not going to get many of these.

Oh c'mon...
“We had to rely on a complete Kings meltdown to secure an overtime win over a 5-20 (now 21) team?”…
Yeah they had a meltdown, but so did we. We didn’t give up, the effort was fantastic, and with a little luck, we came back. Let’s at least be hopeful for the future.
Forget our record
How can you not completely love that comeback?
Our boys fought through…looked like we were going to lose this one
Vlad fighting it out with Cousins for that possession to force OT?
Just beautiful; forget our record

I'm really happy for Vlad
A guy who was getting booed at home and really had 0 confidence and was having no fun out there to be stepping up lately must fell really good. If he continues to shoot well I wouldn’t mind trading Gaz instead of him as a expiring in a trade and using his expiring in the offseason to get someone.

I know what you're saying.
Vlad’s a good guy, has that charity for the homeless in Serbia that’s helping out a lot of people, but in the end all i care about is the Warriors winning games. I could care less for the hometown boys (Lin) or the random guys from my country (Belinelli) you know. And Vlad has really sucked up until the last 3 games so i don’t really want him to play, because i want the team to win.
by GovernorStephCurry on Dec 21, 2010 10:41 PM PST up reply actions
He's helping lately though
If he can play like this for the rest of the way maybe keeping his expiring to ourselves would be smart if we can’t get a beast for his expiring

Question: did anyone think Reggie’s missed second FT (before the Vlad 3) was intentional?
I don’t think it was, and the fact that Smart didn’t have him miss intentionally demonstrates once again what a poor coach he is. But hey, he came out looking like a genius…
There will be no extra point!
i was trying to type MISSS ITTTTTT !!!! but so many ppl were posting my computer bogged down
ya that was wayyyy to close to look intentiional but end result was perfection. that needs to be a better art i think..
by PIRATEWARRIOR on Dec 21, 2010 11:06 PM PST up reply actions
maybe
missing intentionally is not as easy as it sounds… some players air ball or hit the back board. Smart probably wanted him to make it but Reggie just did whatever and luckily it missed.
by Monta THE Boss on Dec 21, 2010 11:07 PM PST up reply actions
im not sure but i dont think u can hit just the backboard!! u need to hit rim or else u cant get the rebound
does anyone know about this?? other wise it would be easy to slam it off the backboard back to urself
by PIRATEWARRIOR on Dec 21, 2010 11:12 PM PST up reply actions
Yes, you need to hit the rim at least.
I remember when the Celtics played us, Ray Allen tried to intentionally miss a FT by launching it hard off the backboard. But it didn’t hit the rim, so possession went to us.
by IQofaWarrior on Dec 21, 2010 11:13 PM PST up reply actions
i didn't say hitting the backboard was legal

Too hard to say if that was an intentional miss or not
but if I was trying to miss, I would say that it is way safer to miss to one side (like Reggie did) rather than the back of the rim

They have some good pieces, but just can’t get it together. Bad teams find a way to lose.
Nice effort from the Warriors, making up for another terrible 3rd quarter.
I'm glad...
… Cousins didn’t fall to us. He obviously has talent, but he seems like the kind of guy who is going to get in his own way for his entire career. Those out of control, forced shots were hilarious, though… he looked like a clown.

He seems like a jerk.
But there’s no doubt in my mind i’d want him. Maybe Monta’s southern style could get him under control, and chill people like Steph, Lee, and Biedrins could keep him in line.

by GovernorStephCurry on Dec 21, 2010 11:08 PM PST up reply actions
Maybe I haven't seen enough...
…. I didn’t see future star in his play. Has the body to dominate, but really seems raw in a lot of ways. People always talk about upside, but I can’t think of too many players who go from raw to star. He’s young, but personalities don’t change overnight, and rarely change drastically. Look at Kobe, still a d*ck after all these years. :)
by warriorsablaze on Dec 21, 2010 11:15 PM PST up reply actions
Maybe not tonite, but the skills are definitely there.
He has some great agility for a 7 foot fatass, and his rebounding is good. But needs to stop taking bad shots, stop fouling (not sure how he will do this, he’s a dirty player) and pass better. But skills are there. He needs someone like KG on his team to put him in his place.

udoh had ZERO points in 22 minutes... not a joyous thing..
altho he had THREE blocks again..
I think it's going to be a while....
….before he gets comfortable in the offense (as if we run one, anyway). He doesn’t get the ball very often in a position to score….usually he gets it at the foul line and looks scared. He’ll get comfortable and could put up 8-10 a game. He’s not there for Offense, though…..as long as he keeps getting boards, blocks, and playing good D, I’m happy.

Looked smooth, and he apparently has a serviceable jumper from 15 and in. Not sure if he has much of a back to the basket game, though. This offense (or lack there of) is going to stifle him the way it stifles Lee.

Cousins = epic fail
I was looking at the Kings game thread and found this gem explaining the Cousins choke gesture:
“Just rewound the DVR
[Reggie] Williams is shooting three free throws. He misses the first – Cousins walks into the lane towards Williams and makes the choke sign a few times. Then when Cousins gets back into position for the second free throw, he leans over and makes a couple more choking motions. After Williams misses the third free throw, the ball is loose and Dorell Wright gets fouled. He misses the first ensuing free throw, and Cousins makes the choking sign AGAIN.
by otis29"
What a tool.
the refs did more than their fair share for us
those phantom fouls to even get to the line….plus Cousins was definately getting hacked – hard – with no call

Feltbot recap, David Lee in the locker room.
Oh jeez, Feltbot.
That guy has the biggest confirmation bias syndrome ever. He’s been acting like Radman was good all year. And he has a wacky idea that our best lineup has Lee at the 5, and Rad at the 4…gulp, he’s definitely alone on that one.

Anybody else hear during the top plays on ESPN tonight
during the replay of the #3 play of Monta no look shot John Buccigross mentioning the fan letter to Joe Lacob and his response? Was pretty cool to hear that
Shut up, just shut up. You had me at "cure for Cohan".
RADMANS member has a tattoo that, when flacid, reads “LFSRCAFOFCMAMCOTDOTOBAOOTSRIOTOFBMATAOTAOBAAOTUSSR”, and when erected reads ""Laboratory for Shuttering, Reinforcement, Concrete and Ferroconcrete Operations for Composite-monolithic and Monolithic Constructions of the Department of Technology of Building Assembly Operations of the Scientific Research Institute of the Organization for Building Mechanization and Technical Aid of the Academy of Building and Architecture of the USSR.""
Where is everyone finding Rad gifs?
Are there just tons of them or something?

Rusty article on Lacob’s letter. Rusty recap.
I feel really good for Vlad
every time he came into games early in the season he completely missed shots and made bone head plays. I cringed when he came in, but he has been playing better as of late to the point where I don’t mind too much when he makes an appearance. Then this tonight, probably one of the highlights of his career I think Vlad showed the fans, the team and himself today that he doesn’t suck he has value in the league.
As much as Vlad has pissed me off before he has completely made up for it and he has always shown passion for basketball. Vlad might not be the best player but he perseveres and had a great moment tonight.

I missed the game, I was at a party like event
but I am so glad we didn’t draft Cousins, I don’t care how good he becomes in the future I never want a player on my team to behave like that, it was so immature. I am glad it backfired on him but wow, that was such an idiotic move.
We criticize some of our players for making dumb basketball moves, or being too selfish but I have never seen a GSW on this team do anything remotely unprofessional like that, I am thankful we drafted Udoh and Cousins didn’t slip to us.
Also look at the stats for the draft picks this year
so far, it is pretty terrible. I like Favors, Wall, Fields, Aminu, and Bresloe all look all right but there are so many underachievers. I still think Wesley Johnson will look good by years end.

LOL good point
I meant all the Warriors on the team now, it looks like we are free of headcases. Monta has said some regretful things in the past, but not at any real aggravating level. The thing he said about Curry, whenever the Warriors do poorly the fans basically say the same thing over and over and over again, so you can’t really fault him on that.
Also there is something kind of Awesome about the Artest/Jackson fight thing I mean it is something I think every fan has thought about. It is like a ref getting punched in the face it will happen someday and everyone will be appalled but you know someday some player is going to do that. Also Artest was just mentally unstable at that time in his career I think has a real mental illness. Jackson I have no idea what he was doing getting involved in that situation.
I remember Jackson being so involved in the community, everyone really liked him then we started losing and we saw his annoying side. I am glad Jackson is gone right now.

Jackson is a good natured person but struggles with decision making….
And yeah. there isn’t really any bad guy on the team it seems. Monta can be ball hoggish on the court sometimes, but now he seems to be a chill person off the court.

Bob Fitzgerald
I like his buzzer beating calls, or 2 of them at least.
Tonights and the Jrich 3 to beat Dallas like 4 years ago.
That was a good win for the Warriors. hopefully they can continue the momentum.

Gotta love the King's commentary at the end of reg
“Oh No….Oh No…”
yeah, they have had seen some pretty brutal 4th quarter collapses!
last night
Kings held a 16-point lead with 9:20 left in the 4th
Against Houston (Dec 19th)
the Kings scored just four points in the final 9:12 of the game
against the Hornets (Dec. 15th)
Kings leading by 23 points with 7:58 left in the third quarter
against the Bulls (Nov. 27th)
Kings were outscored 27-9 in the 4th, committed eight turnovers and made only 3 of 21 shots
not sure if this is coaching, will, skill, luck, or what, but that string of suck must hurt
We have raw, young talent but they need to be balanced out by a hard ass who won’t accept lackluster ball.

1 note about Lacob, Smart, and Udoh.
all those gifs=win!
but I was watching the D Lee postgame interview, near the end of the vid something caught my eye and I was wondering if anyone out there knows what’s going on to the left of Lee (you kinda see the person at 1:00) at about 1:10 things start to get weird…
but so happy for the win, and the improved Vlad Rad play
teamwork!
