Better chance at Wall or new coach?
We all know Nellie needs 24 wins this season to break the record for most career wins. Also, most of us agree that Wall should be taken number one if the Warriors should win the lottery.
Here's the question:
A) Would you rather have Nellie break the record, guaranteeing a new head coach, leaving us with the smaller chance at winning the lottery,
OR
B) Have Nellie fall short of the record, return next year, and have a better chance (25%) at winning the lottery, and ultimately Wall.
***For the sake of the discussion, let's say in option B, the Warriors would in fact have the worst record in the league. Disregard the fact that it's highly unlikely that this would happen.***
Is a better chance at Wall worth keeping Nellie? I dunno, just a question I thought of randomly and thought might bring up good discussion.
Keep in mind this is all highly unlikely. Just wanted to see where everyone stands.

What hapenned to the other Wall thread?
Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.
I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.
RANDOLPH: "I know. But sometimes, you gotta let ‘em know."

I prefer a coach
Guys like AR and ME8 just need a stable coach to realize there full potential. A guy like Turner, Cousins, Whiteside or Johnson would be great. Heck, if we drop to the 6th pick Aminu.
Rookie: "Why did you bench me?"
Nellie: "You're a rookie"
Both are probable, but a new coach is more likely
I see Don’s age going hand in hand with the losing record to finally send him and Lucky to Hawaii for good.
That being said, winning a top 3 pick would be awesome for us. Wall, Turner, and Cousins round up an excellent top 3. But with Wall, expect him, Monta, or Curry to be traded.
One of the few to have appreciated Cap'n Jax. Do well in NC, get that 8th seed!

if we get wall we need a new coach
not cause nellie can’t turn him into a star, but i think nellie has lost touch w/ most 18-21 years… which is not uncommon for someone who is 70, but still an issue.
if nellie is still here, and we get #1 pick, bet we trade it
We waste a lot of time talking about getting Wall
Little chance of that but realistic opportunity to pick up the 2/3 through 5 pick so lets have some dialoge about those picks.

Agreed. Given that our shot at landing Wall is 19.9% at best, the degree to which some fans seem to be counting on him is pretty ridiculous. Still, it should be noted that our chances of landing the #2 or the #3 pick are not significantly worse than our chances of landing the #1. Indeed, as the second-worst team, our chances of landing #1 (19.9%) are better than our chances at #2 or #3 (18.8% and 17.1%, respectively). And as the third-worst team, our chances of #1, 2, 3 are basically equal (15.6%). But obviously, in all cases, the combined chances of not getting the #1 pick far outweigh the chances of getting it.
There will be no extra point!

I'd much rather have a new coach
Much better for us in the long run. I’d be ok with Jeff Van Gundy, Avery Johnson, or Byron Scott. In that order. Any 3 of them would be better than Nellie at this point. But I still hope Nellie gets the record, he deserves it, but if he doesn’t and retires, he still deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. He’s been such a pioneer in this sport and was a game changer, invented so many styles of play and strategies, if he doesn’t make it into the Hall of Fame, I’d be pretty pissed, even if he was the reason for the demise of the Warriors (twice)
WARRIORS BASKETBALL!!! Patiently waiting for a title...I may be waiting for a long time...

WarriorForLife, if that’s really a picture of you – you get a rec just for being cute. We need more fans like you.
If you’re really a just another fat guy addicted to the Warriors and you choose to use that avatar as a trick – I’m flagging you for irresponsible behavior. How could you!
Haha, nah.
That’s a pic of Ramiele Malubay, American Idol contestant from a few years ago. I had like the biggest crush on her. Just haven’t changed the picture yet.

Even if Nelson hits the record
He’s owned another 5 million next year, Cohan isn’t going to buy him out and he’s not going to leave money on the table.
So, I choose D. pointless
