Great move Chris Mullin and Robert Rowell deciding to build around Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins, and Corey Maggette! (not)

Here's hoping Larry Riley and Don Nelson can clean up this mess this summer.

We’re putting Kawakami on the front page now? Really?

He’s Atma’s sidekick.

Seriously

I could see this being one of the links in the post game link thing IQ has. But to dedicate a whole front page post to it? Really? There are no facts in it, just speculation and analysis by TK. Front page posts during the season should only be game threads, post game stuff, and NEWS (like bringing up Williams form the D-League).

Kawakami's

stuff has always had its place on the front page. It’s actually rare to see his stuff not on the front

Also

What if someone posted just this in a fanpost, and it wasn’t TK? It definitely isn’t even fanpost worthy. This is fanshot material.

Meh

He cherrypicks his stats to the point of ridiculousness. We beat 3 AWFUL teams, AT HOME, without Monta. Every one of our good wins this season came when Monta was playing. Tim K just wants to lambast the highest salaried players because in turn it allows him to lambast the whole organization, which is what he lives for. But it ignores the blatant, in your face, scream from highest mountain top truth about this team and the reason We Suck:

WE HAVE NO POWER FORWARD AND NO ONE WHO CAN DEFEND THE WING

We are an awful team

Al 3 those awful teams have better records than GSW. I don’t think you can discredit it (or any win really… except maybe Nets at home)

There barely better than any us

Probably as bad

If we’re talking about the Pistons, Clippers and Kings, we do actually have a better pythag record than all of them, plus home court advantage in those games….

by Missing Barry on Mar 2, 2010 10:14 AM PST up reply actions   1 recs

what is this pythag thing you keep bringing up? What does it tell you that the actual win/loss record does not?

It’s based on point differential, and it’s a better measure of a teams “true talent level” in the context that it better predicts future W-L than W-L record does. Essentially, winning close games and blowing teams out/getting blown out tend to be fairly random – good teams win close games more than bad teams and good teams blow teams out/get blown out less than bad teams, but that should be built into pythag if they’re doing it right, and the point is point differential takes out the random aspect of winning and focuses and what tends to be more skill based – point differential.

It's true

Admittedly a small sample size though. We’ll have to see how games like tonight’s go.

More like Atma Brother ZERO

TK is exactly where AB1 hopes to be in a few years.

Trust me, learning english isn’t a waste of time. It is actually sort of useful.

It's true that...

…Atma often posts TK stuff on the front. That doesn’t bother me too much, except that Atma’s notes on the articles sometimes hit at his familiar suspects (mostly Biedrins, Ellis, Mullin, and Warriors fans who wanted to trade J-Rich), while ignoring that the writer he’s sourcing has a somewhat low opinion of Don Nelson’s coaching styles.
