Monta Ellis practicing with team today ... We'll see about tomorrow vs. Portland. #GSW #NBA
Warriors' Monta Ellis doing fullcourt work. Doesn't seem like any reason he shouldn't play Thursday vs. Blazers. #GSW #NBA

Monta Ellis is "leaning" towards playing Thursday vs. Portland. Depends on how his strained lower back responds to today's practice
I think he is good to go, but he stopped short of saying so @mimismonkey From what i understand he's good 2 go. What do you think on status?
I forgot. Biedrins done 4 year. Had surgery Wed to repair a torn abdominal muscle. Will be 4-6 wks before he "begins" hoop-related activity

That last Curry response rang a couple alarm bells in my head
Curry was asked if he appreciated having another guy who can bring the ball up and make plays after playing 40 min a night, so Curry doesn’t have to do it every time. Curry kind of dodged the question a little, and eventually degenerated into a “looking forward to having him back” type of answer.
I’m not sure if this is a sign that he’s not looking forward to playing with Monta, or perhaps just he doesn’t like the question or idea of having to “share” or “give up” the play making duties to someone else, like he wants to take on the challenge of being “the” play maker. Considering that Curry answered that first question directly, I’m leaning towards the second thought.
I think he like being the main ball handler
Of course there is no proof of that but I think he likes having the ball in his hands. Thats my guess
We all love the Warriors..
We all hate Cohan as an owner of this franchise…
That's what I'm leaning towards for now
But something to keep in the back of the head for future reference

Agreed
This may actually turn out to be good and may be the start of Ellis going back to being off the ball. What if Steph had a attitude issue? I doubt it but like you said we should keep it in the back of our minds for now. Also very possible is that he just answered the question awkwardly without a hidden message, thats possible too I guess. Let the speculation begin!

In other words...
he wants Monta as his sidekick, but that’s not going to happen anytime soon.
There’s no actual evidence but in most interviews,Curry doesn’t sound too enthusiastic when Monta is mentioned.

I don't see why it can't happen
If what you say is true than Steph may have a poor attitude towards Monta not the other way around. But still I think Monta would be a sidekick if it meant winning, Curry may want to be the guy and thats fine. But Steph needs to show that on the floor and be more of a general if he wants to take control now like what has been suggested here. We could be completely wrong but it’s just a thought

Steinmetz chat
Very good read, again shows some insight into the locker room. According to him chemistry is not an issue and everyone likes each other. He also mentions why Monta’s efficiency naturally went down due to handling the ball more often and draft scenarios etc. Also the Monta being a leader video is just a short cut of NBAtv’s version if you want to watch the full thing here is the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo6SQREB9oo

Hahahaha
I thought that segment felt a little shallow. Watching the 2 versions side by side, I can see why they edited it.

game time
Warriers Blazers game should be exciting: A team with no defense against a team with no offense.
Blazers have no offense?

Raja Bell
looking good at the top of the key behind the Curry interview. I’m glad to see a player in a suit be an active leader on the bench, but i’m even more glad to see him shooting on court.
