Steinmetz: Magic-Bird Borders on Perfection
Let’s face it, there’s never again going to be anything like Bird-Magic. That’s what makes the HBO documentary so good: It takes you to a time when basketball was close to perfect.

hbo = best in the biz
I’m 26, so my earliest Magic Johnson memories are only the classic elementary school comedy stylings of “what do you call magic johnson in a wheelchair?” and the first game of his comeback, fittingly against our Warriors. Click that for the youtube of the game.
That documentary was…I was close to tears during certain parts. Epic. Chills during the USA highlights. Molto bene!
I have no memories of Magic and Bird, and even I was close to tears.

I wish i would have been able to see those guys!
Bird is one of my favorites and i never saw a live game with him. I like Magic, but i would never cop out and root for him. He’s a Laker.
Nellie needs to go! but while we suffer....John Wall or Evan Turner please!
