He definitely has the skill

What I have notice though is a lot of the time there is no movement from off the ball guys when he has the ball they just stand around. I think if guys like Morrow moved a little better he’d find them more.

What I noticed is

That whenever Ellis is on the court, Curry seems to play worse. Not because of Ellis, but more because Curry thinks he needs to defer to Ellis. I think Curry is the one with the problem, wish he’d fix it.

I agree

It’s like Curry get’s intimidated or something. Like when Ellis defers to Curry, Curry seems to shy away from being aggressive. It looked like Monta was talking to Curry during practice about setting Curry up for a play. Just my hunch, but I think Ellis wants Curry to be more aggressive while Ellis is on the floor, and help set Curry up for buckets.

He seems scared sometimes, but that’s common for rookies when around guys well known like Monta. Next year it will be different since he will have a year under his belt and understands the league better. He has respect for him and thats fine but it shouldn’t get in the way of his play.

Guess this a product of

Monta saying “They could never be any good playing together.” Monta kind of screwed up their chemisrty from day one. The day I see Monta putting his arm around Curry and saying we can do this. Thats the day Monta becomes a leader and this team gets better.
