That's his team
"He's grown into an NBA player. He's not that unseasoned rookie," Jackson said. "A lot of people didn't expect him to play this well, but I knew in training camp he was going to be real good. That's his team."

He's matured really fast
Never hit the rookie wall, now we have to hope for no sophmore slump.
We all love the Warriors..

Ssh
The season isn’t over yet. He could hit that wall pretty soon.

I just hope he can somehow contribute to the effort to bring us JohnWall ? Maybe instead of pointing to the roof he could point toward Kentucky?

There is absolutely no way we can draft John Wall...
Turner is the closest thing we can get.
New Jersey clinched the 1st pick, chances are they will secure it.
The Warriors will land the #4 pick if we stay at this rate,I hope we win the lottery, though.

Cpt.
NJ has a 25% chance of landing Wall a nd 75% they won’t. The teams int he top 3 all have close to the same odds of landing NO.1

Chances are they get the 3rd pick
I heard that they may trade out if they don’t get the 1st but thats just a rumor

Even some of the lower percentage teams have a shot at #1
Like Chicago when they got Derrick Rose. Or The Clips last year, who were in almost the same spot we are right now.
Lets just hope none of the 4th-6th worst teams get bumped up…
Hmm...
If he hits the rookie wall, then hopefully it will help us lose games and get the rookie Wall for next season.
Get it? John Wall… rookie wall…. nevermind.

That wall is imaginary, all it means is there is a maturation process that one goes through when playing against better players…the wall is only there if your not able to play at that level…and with Curry he’s beyond that, he has already proven he belongs at this level…
His game was tailor made for the NBA, not built on speed or superior athleticism but more of the BBIQ along with highly developed skills in passing and shooting..
I think it would be fair to say that BJ hit the rookie learning curve and it’s because his skills were not as developed as Currys to start with..
The only thing to watch out for is him getting both physically and mentally fatigued..the mental part of the game….but it even looks like his personal drive will allow him to get through…we are seeing the real deal with him..he’s the piece this franchise needed to build around and Nelson gets some credit for seeing it in the draft..

Other “rookie wall” factors
NBA: 82 games in 5.5 months
NCAA: 30 games in 4 months
NBA: 3.5 games/week
NCAA: 2 games/week
NBA: National travel
NCAA: Regional travel with few exceptions
NBA: ~80 plane flights/season
NCAA: ~20 plane flights/season
Suffice to say, there’s a lot more basketball, and travel. And this isn’t counting any of the typical “first year” stuff everybody has to deal with when they make a drastic change to their lifestyle. One thing Steph has going for him is that his dad has probably been preparing him for this since he was a baby. We’ll see how well he pushes through the rest of the season.

Pretty intresting,
to see Jack say that. I wonder what his ‘buddy’ Monta Ellis thinks about the Warriors becoming Curry’s team.
A side not, Monta Ellis has been unofficaly the team captain and in truth has been a professional and leader since Jackson was traded. However he doesnt wear a C and Nellie seems to refer to him only as his best player and not his team captain when Ellis is healthy. We’ll see if there is anything in this over the summer. Last summer when Ellis was holding atleast some of the cards, the Dubs went out and still drafted a point guard against Ellis’s wish and didnt get him a big man, like he wanted.

Jackson
meant Tolliver, Hunter, Watson, Reggie Williams is Curry’s team.
Curry is captain of the D-league squad.
Monta is captain of the real team.
Jackson meant.....
nice to see you can read minds.
Monta is captain of the real team.yeah, keep telling yourself that. like it or not, Rowell (under STH influence) is the only reason Monta is still here. once those STH’s leave b/c they can’t take the losing, Monta will probably be traded.

"but I knew in training camp he was going to be real good. "
Huh…did you Jack?? Is that why you stated Evans was rookie of the year, switched to Jennings, and then switched back to Evans when this rookie was on your team????
Living for a magical 8th seed run
To be fair he said real good and not ROY.
I mean, everyone in the NBA is, by normal standards, really really good at the game of basketball.
Warriors, Stupidest franchise in the league.
I told Randolph that Bill Russell would tell him to keep that ball in play and start the break.
RANDOLPH: "I know. But sometimes, you gotta let ‘em know."

HEY
If you were watching the Lakers Magic game on ABC, (Kobe choked by the way! :) )
Well anyways… Jeff Van Gundy named Stephen Curry as his rookie of the year! He said that “I thought he was going to be good in the NBA, but I didn’t know he was gonna be this good! This kid is the next Steve Nash!”
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WELL THERE’S ONE VOTE!!!!!!!!!
Living for a magical 8th seed run
If you look at growth and improvement, as great as Tyreke has been his curve has been flatlining. On the otherhand Curry’s growth has been up, up, up. I’d love to have them both but I expect Curry to be the better player in 2 years.

I don’t like Kobe but that choke was hardly a choke, he shot the last three baskets out of desperation and one of them was a 3 from the corner with Barns draped all over him, the next was with a man in his face with his toe on the three point line for the tie, and the last one with no time on the clock he finally missed..the guy is scary….
Yes
but this guy is the super star of the league. When you make two in a row with the d all over you, there is no excuse to miss the easy one (for him at least) at the buzzer

How is a shot with someone all over you on D considered an easy shot? Barnes was playing some pretty good D on him during that last shot.
The second shot that Kobe made with his toe on the line was probably his easiest shot out of the three, thanks in part to Gasol’s (at least I think it was Gasol) screen on Barnes, though it was still a difficult shot.
Superstars are human too.

Probably a little Dell Curry influence there? Like coaches constantly getting fired and re-hired in pro sports the good old boys usually stick together? I imagine the NBA would be more comfortable with Curry as their ROY for promotional purposes.

yes or he could simply be the best rookie and be ROY.

Can I ask you a question?
What is the meaning behind stinky fingers?
Living for a magical 8th seed run
One thing is for sure. Watching the Lakers, they seem to be missing some mojo. I do not see them winning it all and I see Kobe being PO’d and blaming others. I also beleive in karma view Artest as a bad karma dude. The Lakers should have kept Ariza and not touched Artest. Afterall, for all his talent what has RonRon won?
Afterall, for all his talent what has RonRon won?
A new haircut….I think he’s trying to be Dennis Rodman!
Living for a magical 8th seed run
They have no point guard
Fisher will always be a favorite of Phil’s so he will always be in the rotation, Farmar is underwhelming, Brown is a nice defender but that’s it. I think they should go after Hinrich, and they also need a viable backup 3.
