Former Warriors in the Playoffs
Hey check out the former Warriors getting playoff experience! No stars but lots of role playing and some big contributions. Makes me miss some of them. After the jump, let me know who your favorites are, fill out the poll at the end.
Former Warrior players in the playoffs
Orlando:
Matt Barnes -- Actually starting on an awesome Orlando team. I miss both of these guys for their intense play and never quit attitude.
Mickael Pietrus -- Ha Ha, still plays with his heart, not so much with his head. Some things never change. Hit 4 3-pointers tonight!
LA Lakers
Derek Fisher -- Amazingly a starter on the Lakers, and still makes key contributions.
DJ Mbenga -- One of my favorites of all time. Still in the NBA! One of his funniest plays with the warriors was on a fast break, someone fed him the ball on a full sprint through the key. He slammed it off the backboard (missed the rim) so hard it almost reached mid-court on the bounce! They both already have rings, and I don't want the Lakers to win, so I'm only rooting for DJ to get some playing time.
Atlanta Hawks
Jamal Crawford -- Well, he didn't do so well against Orlando, but he has found a place that appreciates him, and he got to play on a playoff team for the first time. I hope for his sake that Atlanta can recover from this last playoff disaster.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Antawn Jamison -- always plays hard, and plays bigger than he is, but I never appreciated his game very much. But if Cleveland wins, I'll be happy for him.
Phoenix Suns
Jason Richardson -- Go Phoenix, go Jason. He's playing some important minutes as maybe the 4th option on this Phoenix team that looked really good against San Antonio. Got to love Jason, always plays his heart out.
Charlotte Bobcats
Steven Jackson -- I liked Steve during his one year that he gave us his best, and didn't consider himself the number 1 option. I'm glad he's gone now.
What do you think?

The only right answer is Jason Richardson
yes, a poll that is entirely based on taste and personal opinion has a wrong answer.
I voted for Mbenga, and I’m not sorry!

How about you add ‘Steve Curry next year’ to the poll?

Had to go Jrich
But I really liked Matt Barnes, not just cuz we had the same last name. I think it’s a bummer he gets booed at oracle.
Cut.

I never boo him.
That’s crazy though. We should not boo him or Pietrus.

Fisher was never a Warrior darn it!
Yeah he wore the jersey on the court and played in games for us. But don’t you dare disgrace the word Warriors by using Derek Fisher in the same sentence! Yeah I know I just did it, but let that be the last time!

Why on earth would people boo Barnes?

J. Rich was the obvious answer
So I went ahead and picked Barnes. He helped bring grit and swagger to this team. In fact. My second favorite team is the Magic. Pietrus would have been my 3rd favorite pick.
P.S. You forgot Adonal Foyle.

Foyle isn't active
While Foyle is one of my all time favorite characters on the court, it doesn’t look like he has played in a game in 2010, much less in the playoffs.

That's what I'm rooting for.
Though when that Finals match up happens, I’d favor the Suns a teeny bit more cause of JR.

Exactly
Since last year, Magic was my team of the East so I was going for them. However, Being that J-Rich is on the Suns and Amare’s rock’s the KD 2’s (My favorite player), I’m very much slightly going for the Suns more. Add my Laker hatred too that too.
Hey Golden Boy: just to refresh my memory, how do you feel about (a) Kevin Durant and (b) the Lakers?
There will be no extra point!

Forgot josh powell too
He’s played pretty well with the lakers when he’s gotten time…not much in the playoffs though. Dubs could have used him instead of mikki moore or some dleaguer.
j-rich for sure

Suck it Derek Fisher!!

I miss Jack, J Rich, Barnes and Pietrus the most for obvious reasons
Foyle is always going to be a Warrior though

Jason Richardson for me
Although my 10 year old sister misses Pietrus a lot. His interviews and sense of humor used to always make her laugh when she was younger. A lot of chemistry and personality on that We Believe team. haha.

I'm prolly the only person who would LOVE to see a Suns/Magic Finals
Especially since neither of those teams, to my knowledge, have won a ring yet.
Plus they’re the only teams with TRUE former Warriors left. Fisher doesn’t count. I’m pullin’ for both these teams so much it’s ridiculous.
Ha! Yep that wouldnt be bad either. Then the big 3 can finally retire.
When I was a young intern working in Boston my boss tasked me to deliver great seat Celtic tickets to a client and he warned that if I flashed them on the subway that I might mugged or worse.
Since I was new in town I did not quite get that but later I was glad that I took his advice!
