This is one depressing list.

Where's Chris Mullin?
Carmelo Anthony?
Kevin Johnson?
At the risk of inspiring another silly “player ranking” debate: assuming these dudes are ranked, there’s no way Iverson should be above Kidd, Moncrief, and Bernard King. Iverson richly deserved his lack of ring by being, for the most part, a pretty inefficient player. Kidd and Moncrief were miles better than AI at everything, except looking cool and being charismatic. Defense and rebounding, anyone?
Also, Stockton should be above the Mailman, imo.
I agree with SI that as of now LeBron is pretty clearly the GOAT-WOR (Greatest of All Time Without a Ring). Weird. Clearly, amazing as he is, he needs a Curry and a Randolph by his side to get him over the top…
There will be no extra point!
Don’t forget Pete Maravic.
That guy should be 2nd overall.
Not sure if it’s in order.

Depressing?
Not at all! You don’t deserve a title just for being a really good player.
When I see people like Iverson, Vince, Dirk, and Ewing on the list, Is say, “Duh! Those guys not only aren’t that good … their flaws were a big part of the reason they never won titles.”
Adrian Dantley? I think SI is worshiping at the altar of PPG a little much. The Pistons won a title BECAUSE they traded Dantley. He cared more about his shots than the team. I think if a team becomes a championship team because they trade you for someone more unselfish, who gets with the team concept, you forfeit any right to be on a “best players who never won a title” list.
Besides which, if every great player got a title, it wouldn’t mean anything. Lebron’s postseason failure this year hurts BECAUSE he can’t expect a title handed to him on a silver platter.
The Stockton-Mailman Jazz
Certainly deserved a ring, shame though, never got it together to make the final push, due to the high amount of competition.
"I tell him straight, 'If you're going to lead, you have to be the first to practice. You have to come in, get your work down and be prepared for practice,' " assistant coach Keith Smart said. "He needs to figure out why he is having stomach problems and he's got to watch how LeBron (James), Kobe (Bryant) and D-Wade (Dwyane Wade) work. He needs to mimic that if he wants his teammates to speak volumes about him." -Keith Smart on Motna Ellis
I really hope Nash gets his
This year.
"My father's name is art, and my name's pride, and while my destiny reads a recipe for confusion I'm looking for whoever writes, so empty inside." -Slug
Remember Patrick Ewing
I have high regard to the 1984-85 number one pick Patrick Ewing . He was a great center but eventually did not win a championship, the closest is in 1993-94 season but fell short against the Houston Rockets.

![Fresh off his second contract buy-out of the past 2 years, former face of the Warriors franchise Adonal Foyle has been picked up off waivers by the Orlando Tragic to be a practice partner for Superman [Third Quarter Collapse].
Where are all the folks screaming at Nellie for benching Foyle the first second he got here? Can you believe Chris Mullin actually structured a team option for $10.5 million after this season in Foyle's contract offer back in 2004 (see Worst FA's since 1996)? Can you believe Robert Rowell actually approved that deal?
Be on the lookout for this summer's blockbuster movie Dumb and Dumber II: The Mullin and Rowell front office.
