Around SBN: What If This Is It For The Celtics? End Of An Era Looming

"If I were running an NBA team, I'd be pulling out all the stops for Jefferson and/or Love....Jefferson had become one of the top-15 players in the league before he blew out his knee."

He wasnt that bad prior to the injury. But he was never that good.

[Info on Randolph] Would have been valuable at this time... But our management failed.

But….but…..but…..he’s The [Boston] Sports Guy! He has to know basketball!

Clearly he’s cranky about the directions the Celtics and Wolves franchises have taken since the Cs gave away their “Top 15” young stud.

That’s gotta be the worst his team has been bent over since the Warriors stole Joe Barry Carroll from them for a pothead veteran center and some big white dude from Minnesota…

There will be no extra point!

LOL

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I find Simmons’ columns to be funny a lot of the time, but just as often he makes stupid claims like this one.

I’d like to ask him whether he would trade Randolph for K Love, since he’s often claimed to be a fan of his as well.

maybe you missed the fairly lengthy Simmons discussion in another thread but the general consensus was that Simmons is a great writer and an awful sports analyst.

Even the great writer is largely dependent on your personal preferences. If pop culture references don’t do anything for you……he’s pretty meh.

I know he’s gotten pretty carried away with that stuff the last couple years, but some of his older columns were pretty good writing.
