Around the Association: 2010 NBA Draft Previews - Remaining teams' possible draft needs

I did my best. Not good enough! Didn't complete my ambitious plan of 30 draft previews in 30 days.

But alas, I am sitting here live at media row at the 2010 NBA Draft inside Madison Square Garden. Follow me on Twitter at @poormanscommish or on Facebook at http://facebook.com/dreamleague.

The crux behind trying to analyze the draft needs of each team, particularly those after the Lottery picks, which may not be as clear-cut "best player available", were the salaries committed at each position. Thank you, HoopsHype.

My hope is that this will help you as you watch the Draft.

Here's a compilation of the remaining teams, from the 12th pick (Memphis Grizzlies) to the 1st pick (Washington Wizards). I left out our Golden State Warriors because I'm sure you guys are well-versed and immersed in our roster (troubles) already...

I know a minimum of 2/3. International prospects are hard for me to follow. Always loved following all major sports draft sans NHL for years.

"I tell him straight, 'If you're going to lead, you have to be the first to practice. You have to come in, get your work down and be prepared for practice,' " assistant coach Keith Smart said. "He needs to figure out why he is having stomach problems and he's got to watch how LeBron (James), Kobe (Bryant) and D-Wade (Dwyane Wade) work. He needs to mimic that if he wants his teammates to speak volumes about him." -Keith Smart on Motna Ellis

I watch a lot of college basketball so I am pretty familiar with players that are projected to go in the second round such as Luke Harangody and Denis Clemente because the Big East is shown on television a lot and Kansas State had such a great team. Guys like Mac Koshwal and Landon Milbourne I’m not really that familiar with, though. DePaul was totally garbage and Maryland is only on national television if they’re playing Duke.

Some I don’t know how they play though

I know almost all of them inside out.

And I convinced an old high school teammate of mine to watch.

We’ve got bets on whether AJ Ogilvy will get drafted – I refuse to bet on anyone who ever gave me a concussion. (He went McHale-Rambis on me in a high school playoff game a couple of years ago).
