Serge is still only 20

he’s got much more potential than Udoh

Take age out

Overall styles, both defensive specialists. 4’s who will probably end up 5’s. Similar size etc

He may be forced to

AR was…

Didn’t turn out so well, did it?

Well there very different in my mind seeing as though AR plays nothing like a 5 while Udoh has similarities

I’m just saying, it will happen eventually

???

How did it “not turn out so well?” Because he was still trying to force the issue with his “3” skills? Because he broke his ankle before he could settle into his role?

Trust me, learning english isn’t a waste of time. It is actually sort of useful.

He’s still extremely skinny, not to mention very small in terms of a frame. I like AR, but he’s still not ready.

He's ready to play

Just not ready for a heavy load

dubzfan said Randolph was forced to play center and I replied by saying it didn’t end up well because he always struggled guarding them.

I should amend my statement

Udoh should not end up a 5.

But on the Warriors, it’s probably a foregone conclusion that he will.

Who do you prefer actually plays the 5?

He can play some 5

A lot of league goes to 2 PF system especially off the bench. I prefer it to forcing a center who sucks to play.

And how much did Biedrins play last year?

Potential. We keep hereing this term. Young upside Potential

Can someone tell me the last time a big player was drafted, came in mediocre and grew to the point he became star player? I’m having a problem of thinking of anyone? Seems you either have it or you don’t.

You missed the first part of the question
Can someone tell me the last time a big player was drafted, came in mediocre and grew to the point he became star player?

Either you’re referring to Kenyon Martin (didn’t come in as mediocre and never really became a star), or you need to revisit the memory bank to find an answer to the question asked.

Ibakas range seems to be from about 1 foot

and he does nto seem to have anything off the dribble or passing game. Other than that they are identical. I love how our comparisons will be more similar in there names then their games.

thats not true

Ibaka has that same elbow jumper and very nice form, and he’s only 20 so his rage can get better. But i think that ibaka and udoh are a fair enough comparison for right now, they’re both team oriented defensive players that don’t play with an ego, ibaka is for sure more athletic then udoh but udoh seems to have a little more BBIQ, so for right now i think its a okay comparison.

Ibaka is an energy guy ..

Udoh is much more polished and skilled.

by Potential on Jun 27, 2010 6:56 PM PDT reply actions

Well Ibaka is OKC projected starting center

But he was just energy last year, not much different than what Udoh will probably be

Who do you think gets the start? The6-9 Ibaka, the 6-10 Collison, or the 6-10 aldrich.

Ibaka is 6-10

And Collison barely played and Aldrich is a rookie many predict will just be a good role player and a average starter. We saw in the playoffs how Ibaka played with starter minutes, he will start.
