FREE AGENCY 2010 - Is Go!!!

Well the game is well and truly on!!!

The phones have started ringing and agents have been holding teleconference calls and some players have even been visited already! The mad fest that is the 2010 Free Agency is definitely buzzing and yet again we are nowhere near to being in serious consideration for anything of any major interest.... or are we?

There is already talk of a sign and trade for the Lakers taking Chris Bosh and indeed CB may in fact be a key to this market. Many have linked CB going to where 'The King' lands but is that really what Chris Bosh wants? Due to the fact that he has maintained his own independence in the past in contract decisions, he strikes me as quite a shrewd player and he might just surprise one or two.

The question long is this going to take for the major players to decide where they wish to lay their hat? already Amare has opted out of his final year to join the fray and many tip him to end up in Miami with Wade... In addition Pierce opts out, Dirk flies to Dallas, Wallace retires and now Denver may be shopping Carmelo...

Without doubt, this will be one of the most interesting off-seasons for many years.

It seems the Wolves have set their sights firmly on Rudy Gay and maybe he is the type of player that GSW badly needs but cannot achieve right now.... or can we? Is there a trade option that brings Gay to the Bay!!! (Yes yes.... I know... its been here for years!) :-)

One thing that does boggle the mind David Lee being pushed as a major free agency player...I mean really? Maybe it's just me, but I have never really rated him as a player and he certainly is not a game changer in my personal opinion, but maybe others feel differently.

As to GSW...all I can say is....... "Would someone...PLEASE get off their backsides and make a sensible offer to buy the Warriors...and NOW!!!!!!!!"

I have not lost faith that a new owner might have the financial capability to turn his nose up and laugh in the face of the Luxury tax and really place GSW in the contenders ring with a huge splash of cash.

I am also one of the many that would like to see Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins move on. I like them as players, but unfortunately, I just dont think they gel or fit with this new fresh GSW team and it is probably time for us to trade them ..IF and it is is a big IF... we can make serious use of their salary space. If not, I would rather keep them onboard and hope that their stock rises this coming year.

So the question I posed this: Is there anyway that GSW can come from leftfield and become a player in this major free agency? If not... what changes do we need to make/go after, in order to make the 8th spot of the playoffs?

Let the discussions roll and lets chat about the moves as they happen.... it's going to be.... emotional!
