Krieger: Nuggets' mysterious inner structure showing cracks [Denver Post]
"Desperate to upgrade an increasingly fragile frontcourt, I'm told the Nuggets are trying to pry center Andris Biedrins from the Golden State Warriors."
Looks like we might be players in this monumental time in NBA history....

We aren't getting Anthony
We better not end up with JR Smith or Kenyon Martin either.
Beidrins trade value is at an all time low – and every team needs a center. I say we hold on to Andris and see how he returns this season, maybe trade him at the mid season point if we need to move on.
I agree
I wouldn’t be in favor of trading Biedrins, even if he raises his stock at the start of the season. It’s easy to forget that he was an above average center, and one of the best rebounders in the league, just 2 years ago. He has an abysmal, injury riddled 2009-2010 season and suddenly we should trade him. He’s one of the few players I think the Warriors have signed in a while that is worth his contract when healthy. Unless we get a great offer for him, he should be one of the few players on the roster (along with Curry) that we should be building around.
NO on K mart
but throw in Nene to make it sweeter. Althuogh not sure why they would give away Nene for Beans.
+1
I’d trade Beans for Nene straight up but that’s one of those trades that only makes sense for the Dubs. If I were Denver I’d never do that trade. And if were Denver, I’d be a state. Joke.

Oh heck no!
KMart is past his prime, and JR Smith is too much of a hot & cold player (complete with a punk attitude to boot).
Either way we lose in a trade with the Nuggets
They have nothing we want besides Carmelo and maybe Nene. Maybe a trade like this http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2935up2. I know the Hollinger analysis is way in favor of us, but that’s because it doesn’t take into account that Wright didn’t play at all, and Biedrins was injured and had an off year. We get Nene, who provides low post scoring, defense, and rebounding, which he isn’t the greatest at. We also get Renaldo Balman, who can be a very good defender. Even then, I don’t know if I would want to make that trade.
We get Nene, who provides low post scoring, defense, and rebounding?
If he can shoot freethrows then he sounds like an upgrade?
Lights please, lights please, turn off the lights.

Not buying the Riley BS
If he can shed Monta and Biedrins contract I think he does it. The Nuggets just might have the pieces to do it too. If this team is really looking to break it all down and start all over the deal would be Kenyon Martin and J.R. Smith for Monta Ellis and Biedrins.
This actually gives Denver a pretty legit starting 5 of Billups, Ellis, Anthony, Nene and Beans. Warriors do this so next off season they have a boat load of cash to spend. Who knows maybe that makes things more enticing for the new owner to build the team the want they want to.

if Ellis and Beans are good enough for Denver
then add Curry, Randolph, and one 2011 lotto pick at SF (Barnes, Vesely, Jones – there are plenty next year), we should be ready to roll.
great for denver, horrible for GS.
K mart is one of the most overratted PF’s to play the game, he only thrived under Jason Kidds NJ squad due to the fact it was run and gun and Kidd always looked for him, and now, he’s injurty prone and past his prime. Even in our current system we are better sticking wtih AR / Udoh as our PF’s and further develop them. JR smith is a good reserve, but Id rather have Reggie have minutes at the reserve 2 spot or starting SF.
I love the idea of shedding beans contract but not sure how this would help GS.
ROTOWORLD report
Said a lot of teams are after Morrow. Man it is so screwed up right now wouldn’t surprise me if they let him walk for cash too. I hate all this rebuilding crap. I understand having cash but who is a free agent target next year or year after that. I do not want to be the Knicks or Nets and dump games for 2 years for hope. One of those teams in NY are going to be left paying max for an almost star. Uh man it sounds familiar…Let the kids play big minutes and get some new owners now…
decent starting 5

We're going to get killed up front
"I tell him straight, 'If you're going to lead, you have to be the first to practice. You have to come in, get your work down and be prepared for practice,' " assistant coach Keith Smart said. "He needs to figure out why he is having stomach problems and he's got to watch how LeBron (James), Kobe (Bryant) and D-Wade (Dwyane Wade) work. He needs to mimic that if he wants his teammates to speak volumes about him." -Keith Smart on Motna Ellis
The Rush
I don’t get why the rush to move Beidrins and Ellis. Both have great contracts that DO NOT ESCALATE!!!! That is huge down the line.
Admitted. AB hasn’t played to the value of his 9 mil per the last two years but he has had a series of injuries. If the guy is playing back to the level of the double double guy he was 2 years ago. We are fine. I can see wanting to move him to get a post presence that can play back to the basket post game but i don’t think we HAVE to move him nor do i think it should be for expiring deals. MAybe to bring in a 3.
Ellis on the other hand. No way. The production we get out of the guy you simply wont find at his contract dollars, certainly not escalating. And all this talk of him being inefficient. Really? Dude shot 60% and had a historic FEb 2 years ago. Almost every season he has shot around 50%.
Granted last season he was a bad volume shooter. But that was forced on him in my opinion. You had a disinterested coach who played the guy upwards of 48 minutes a game at times. A lot fo those shots were tired shots. But look who he was playing with D-leaguers etc. I predict you get the warriors healthy around him and you watch his per centages go back up, you will see his shot selection be more conservative and the guy brings it.
Address the front court. Curry/Ellis can be the Thomas/Dumars of this generation if the right team is built around that.
Haha
I find it hilarious that a team that feels they have “an increasingly fragile frontcourt” would come running to us.
