Two interesting MT2 tweets

  1. Yup. And udoh 3rd string @philerup: Are the W's picking up anyone to replace Rony? Or is it just Gadzuric as the backup? Thx
  2. Could, but want cheaper spot players @The_Real_DChoi: After Lee S&T, GSW had $11M under cap. Why can't they do DWright, Morrow and Watson?

What I take away is that were really cheap and don't want to pay for Ammo, DW,and CJ

And I’m wondering who is this backup center were looking for?

This is my sig, what do I do with it?

His answer yes on the center seems to refer to Gadz being the back up and

Udoh being 3rd string. I do not see where it infers that we are in the market for a center. The other post is actually good news that we actually have the cap space to sign Morrow. This could turn out better than everone thinks

I thought he meant we were picking someone up

When he asked are we picking someone up and he said yup, but I can see how it goes both ways.

I don't think we are under...

Plus Lee’s $11mil, that’s $66 mil. I thought next year’s cap is $58 mil?

But who cares, Warriors should spend all $$$, $80, $90 mil. We wanna win!!

D.Lee is already included in there and subtract Morrow’s qualifying offer so 54.4m. We’d have to go over the cap a little bit.

From what i have seen

Lee’s 1st year is only $11M

DWrights is $3.4M

So we may have more money under the cap than you think.

While we can not sign other players and go over the cap

We can sign our own and we can easily sign both Morrow and CJ without coming close to the luxury tax line so this is all doable without it being punitive.

Steimetz just said we can resign Ammo without going into the luxury

Yet we aren’t going to do it. Wow, so I guess they like CJ more than Ammo? Crazy, CJ only really plays when someone gets hurt , Ammo is a consistent rotation player

C.J. plays defense...

and is much improved in going to the rack. I’m not picking one or the other, but I could understand why they would sign C.J. instead of Morrow. I wish we could sign them both.

Hmm

I thought I would rather take Morrow rather than CJ, but now I’m thinking otherwise. Watson is a great backup PG to Curry while Morrow would be a backup to Reggie who is a backup to Monta. I’m assuming the warriors will get a starting SF with the rest of the money they can spend. If not, keep Morrow and Watson. I just don’t like Reggie being a SF, even as a backup.

Warriors.

SF

Yeah, I also think Reggie is a SG, not SF. It made lotta 3s last year and he is more than a one dimension player. I don’t mind having Cartier Martin as our SF if Warriors gone cheap. I also like Tolliver but he is a bit slow, perfect for backup PF tho…

Kasib Powell looks pretty good in Summer league. Good passer and rebounder.
