That's not surprising, after hearing his KNBR interview

He’s looking for money, and we’re not looking to pay him a lot.

I also listened to the KNBR interview

and I heard Barnes talking about Nelson not liking him.

If Nelson is personally turning people away like Barnes that is horrible Barnes is a good player. Maybe Nelson should go if it is preventing us from signing a known defensive stopper and excellent team player.

He was talking about being in Nellie's doghouse

and that happened during the 48 win season. Barnes lost his mother to cancer early in the season, and it affected the way Barnes played that season. He couldn’t play and produce consistently, and the team was trying to make the playoffs again, so Barnes landed into Nellie’s doghouse. Nellie had no problems playing Barnes during the We Believe run and the 2007 playoffs.

I liked Barnes during that We Believe run.

I was so happy for him because he developed into a good player after he considered quitting basketball to try out for the NFL.

It was a good story to go along with the We Believe situation. An underdog story within an underdog story (especially since he has “Believe” tatted on his neck, too. Such a fitting player to play on that team).
