I'm happy that we've picked up a local kid who's got the same shot at heroism this training camp as our beloved and dearly departed Anthony Morrow did. The sale of the team and the new beginning marks a need for a fortuitous boost. Jeremy Lin is just the kid to provide a kick start and ride this strange newfound energy into the horizon. It was sorrowful to see the expected exit of Watson, and even more so with Ammo.
But be rest assured, that no lad who has just been rid of sour dictatorship and put into the hands of new exuberance is very sad, and we now ride on, not so much thinking of the Morrow, or even the kind, quiet storm left behind, but of tomorrow, and all the wonders it will bring.
Such beginnings should not be left without proper title to mark the occasion. With that, let's welcome the new hometown hero with a suitable name to keep the wind under his sails and bid a good journey through training camp. From what I've seen of Jeremy, he has a fearless element to his game on offense. He really attacks the rim with reckless abandon. His court vision was surprising and his passes are accurate and delivered with two hands. He reminds me of Curry in this way. His energy carries over to the defensive end, and I'm happy to learn that he holds a desire to keep his opponent at bay. Given his style, his aggressiveness, his desire, and mostly his absolutely perfect entry as a local hero, I propose the nickname: MAD MAX.
Let's here some more for Jeremy Lin.
