"Unless Cleveland raises multi-year offer that starts around $3.5M, Matt Barnes will sign a 1-year, $1.7M deal with Lakers, sources tell Y!"

I think Raja was too competitive and hated Kobe too much to join the Lakers. I’m sure he’d rather defend him and beat him than play alongside him. I like that, much better attitude than a certain chosen one that recently decided to join up with his rivals rather than find a way to beat them…

I have a lot of respect for Raja after that. I hate how Kobe tries to buy every player that stops him

Fell through

Toronto didn’t want to offer him that much, I believe it was something like $10mil/2yrs, which is a bit steep, but Toronto is known for giving out horrid contracts (see: Turkoglu, Bargnani, Calderon)

if you're going to sign for 1.7 million,

come join the warriors instead of going to the fakers

Has anyone noticed that Kobe has been trying get LAL to sign all these "specialist"?

First it was Artest, then he tried for Bell, & now our good ol’ Matt Barnes. I hope that Matt plays them and goes somewhere else like MIA just to really upset Kobe haha. And if CP3 finds some way to LA w/o the Lakers giving up anybody significant I will really be peeved. But I have the feeling that if Paul leaves he’s going East to NYK for a big man, throw-ins, and a few draft picks!…Wouldn’t be surprised if AR is moved again!
