GAME THREAD - US Blue vs White - Las Vegas

Pekin_202008_20-_20basket_20-_20team_20usa_20www

via www.sports-pronostics.com

This is the quickest of quickie open threads. I haven't kept up on Team USA news, other than David Lee not participating because of the hammer finger injury. Meanwhile, guys are competing for a roster spot, including Stephen Curry. From what I've read, Curry will be on the White team. Good luck to you, Curry!

Game time:
July 24 - US Blue vs White - 7:00pm PDT - ESPN2

Star-divide

Let's go Curry!

Yeah

I really wish Lee was playing. It would be amazing to see two Warriors wearing that USA jersey.

Look at all the point guards in this game

Curry looks like the only one making smart decisions and smart plays. What is Rose doing taking it to the hoop when he is challenged a lot, and then he decides to pass when he has an open lay up? A lot of the point guards besides Curry are trying to do too much and are turning it over like crazy.

by duballers23 on Jul 24, 2010 7:38 PM PDT reply actions

but curry playin great

by Mecca on Jul 24, 2010 7:40 PM PDT reply actions

hopefully coach k comes around to seeing him as a pg first instead of a sg first like most reports say, even though th pg spot is jammed, i think him and billups will run the offence the best. plus knock down the shots

by Mecca on Jul 24, 2010 7:42 PM PDT reply actions

Rudy trying to make a push for the back up 3, i think iguodala will edge him out for the team through, they need strong bodies

by Mecca on Jul 24, 2010 7:48 PM PDT reply actions

It amazes me how guards like Rondo and Tyreke get in the lane effortlessly without a jumper, just think if they had one

by Mecca on Jul 24, 2010 7:50 PM PDT reply actions

uh oh wnba pickin up the double sleeve trend, not a good look ladies lol

size wise we do, but monta is no pg

no. just a ball hog.

but i wonder with corey gone, will he share the ball more. and since some of his dishes came from corey, would his assist numbers go done.

hm….

lol. i heard.

but i was watching one of matt’s interview. he was asking why with his great numbers, what the team’s record wasn’t good. and david said it’s because he was made to being the c, guarding much bigger guys…

i only recall that because curry block one of david’s shot. (who said curry can’t take on a bigger guy?)

Wake up curry

You almost got embarrassed by rondo

by IQofaWarrior on Jul 24, 2010 8:23 PM PDT reply actions

in the NBA

I think curry would have gotten the foul call for being bumped when landing from that shot

by IQofaWarrior on Jul 24, 2010 8:26 PM PDT reply actions

See,

Curry should have declined the Team USA invite, and played in the Summer League instead. Then he could look ilke a super duper hyper star.

apparently i was a told the chinesemen aren’t playing.

so no lamarcus too? no carlos either?

by Shells on Jul 24, 2010 8:58 PM PDT up reply actions

Yeah, I guess they got cut early on

or just didn’t come. Lots of players are skipping it. Everyone from 08, actually.

Yeah

He is a little to wild and isn’t as versatile as the other SF’s

by duballers23 on Jul 24, 2010 8:53 PM PDT up reply actions

alright now im stumped, they gotta cut what? 6 players? whos it gonna be

by Mecca on Jul 24, 2010 8:53 PM PDT reply actions

rondo will make the team over westbrook

one of those guys are going home imo because they’re both not good shooters, but rondo’s a better pg and his defense has looked great

by Crashbranman on Jul 24, 2010 8:53 PM PDT reply actions

Yeah

they bring a lot of the same things to the table, but Rondo is farther along in his development. Well, Westbrook could probably play SG.
