This may be a stretch, but it is common knowledge that the Grizzlies like Monta Ellis. They like him because he's the dynamic hometown player who could play next to Rudy Gay for years to come. But would the Warriors like O.J. Mayo in Oakland? Perhaps, but the Clippers may like him better. Mayo is a Los Angeles kid and was a local star in high school. He would improve the Clippers' marketability while they retain the goal of building the franchise around youthful talent. Eric Gordon is about 6'4 220. He's got about 40 lbs. on Ellis and is a physical on-ball defender. He would be extremely effective with Curry as a catch and shoot player, and obviously can slice through the weak side once the defense shifts Curry's way and they rotate the ball. I just love the guy's game.
Could anybody see the possibility of some form of a three-way-trade being executed between these teams? Why or why not?
