Can We Get Beasley?
Just thinking out loud here...The Heat have been trying to get rid of Beasley for awhile now and I was just wondering if you guys think he would be a fit with the dubs and what it might take to get him. Sorry if someone already posted on this topic.

Better yet
lets acquire 15 PFs so everyone can say “Lets make 6 foot 11 ‘X’ a small forward.”
Can We Get Beasley?
offer them BrokenWing and see what they say?
Lights please, lights please, turn off the lights.

Why would we do that again? Beyond the fact that we currently have 3,278 young PFs, Wright’s better at pretty much every aspect of basketball than Beasley; and has the added benefit of seeming like a smart, team-oriented, hard-working, humble guy rather than a lazy, self-absorbed douche.
There will be no extra point!
as a player, he's pretty bad

because it doesn't work
it hasn’t, and it won’t
Still doing better than #2 pick Marvin Williams…

It's the 6 that worries me
he was “supposed” to be a beast on the boards coming out of college. he should be averaging 9rpg - especially considering he doesn’t have a long range shot to stretch the D.
we probably could have
the heat offered him to the nets for keyon doolings expiring contract but now it looks more and more like the heat arent going to land many max free agents so they might not want to give him up for cap space
Ya, let’s bring beasley to california where weed is legal. Perfect.

I'd be all for it, if we didn't have 3 young PFs
We need to find out who can play before we make moves, unless magically we’re getting Lebron and Bosh
Beasley can play SF
he needs to be on a different team and his numbers will go up.
He’s not any slower than Artest, Maggette, or other beefy SFs – and he has a more all around game than both. He needs a good PG to set him up – he can get 17 and 8 with Curry. He is explosive in the paint. I like the idea. Plus, he brings toughness to the wings we’ve been lacking. I’d give up Wright for him and maybe Morrow in a sign and trade. Wade would love to have Morrow on the wing to finish Wade’s drive and dishes
Beasley can play SF
In 78 games last season:
Ast 1.5 / TO 2.0 per 36
3 pt%: .275
TS% .505
IQ: (anecdotally) extremely low.
Speed/quickness: OK for a big man, poor for a wing.
Outlook as a small forward: poor. Whether you call him 3 or a 4, I think you can probably make a strong case for him as the worst regular starting forward in the NBA.
There will be no extra point!
I don't think his numbers with Heat serve as a good indicator
In college he dominated in an up and down, fast paced style offense. He sucked on the Heat in part because they did not use him well, in part because he has some bball IQ and maturity questions, and in part because Wade is not a fan.
I agree that he presents problems, but he can play both forward positions and could really bloom with Curry as his PG imo.I think if we don’t give up too much he is worth considering
You're telling us that
his college production is more important than his NBA production even though we’re talking about the NBA?
but he can play both forward positions
Really doubt it. He’s one of the bad kinds of tweeners- not fast enough to play SF, not big enough to effectively play PF.

imagine if Randolph played on the Celtics
1. He’d never get off the bench
2. He’d put up awful numbers
3. His lack of a post move and his lack of defense would be even more glaring
the team’s style of play matters – but if you notice I said it was only one of many reasons his numbers were weak. His numbers are 14.8 and 6.4 boards. check out link below to see a player who can play both positions
