Thank goodness we didn't match
Stone hand Tolliver is not a good fit for our team.
bench player
he woulda been good for us as our 3rd or 4th big. probably not worth it at 2.4 per though
Goal: 8 seed!
If Tolliver is your third big you're in trouble.
On a well-built team, Tolliver is no better than the 5th big – eg, only sees the floor in garbage time or when there’s an injury.
yah probably
maybe i meant 3rd powerforward. kinda late here in korea
Goal: 8 seed!

Golden State Warriors
where we turn D-League like players into legit NBA players.
Our next projects: Jeremy Lin, Jannero Pargo
lol maybe Lin
but definitely not Pargo
Goal: 8 seed!
Golden State Warriors
where we take in washed up vets and force them into retirement:
Chris Webber, Mikki Moore, and who’s next: Charlie Bell, Dan Gadzuric, & Jannero Pargo
But Devean George managed
to survive LAWLZ
he played 14 games combined for MIL and SAS
after he left Dubs -i think it still counts

Sharunas isn't banget up vet
he still plays pro basketball for multi million contract
WIKI:
On September 25, 2007, Jasikevičius signed with the Panathinaikos. The deal reportedly was worth € 8.4 million euros net income over two years.5 He won the Euroleague again in 2009.6 Jasikevičius became the only player in basketball history to win the Euroleague with three different teams.7 He also won two Greek League titles and two Greek Cups with the Panathinaikos. In 2009, he signed a 2 year contract extension worth € 3.4 million euros net income with Panathinaikos. The second year of the contract being a team option

I told you guys nellie was wasting his talents, Cabbages had a wicked pick and roll , he just needed to get on the court and use it.

haha.
I love how you added “force them”. Once a player goes to Golden State, he’s doomed.
by Precise Films Productions on Aug 6, 2010 9:01 PM PDT up reply actions
exactly what i was thinking.
Kelenna Azubuike
CJ Watson
Anthony Morrow
Anthony Tolliver
etc.
It’s like we raised them as babies and now they’re 18 and ready to leave us so they can take on the world.

really hope so
I think he would be worth 2 mill a year
kinda sux for curry
all his friends are gone. Yeah, the NBA is a business but this is a pretty drastic lesson so early in his career
Goal: 8 seed!
True...
it’s funny how Monta (the dude that didn’t think it was possible to work), Biedrins (the guy he barely played with), Reggie Williams (the D-League stud), & Brandan Wright (the mystery man) are the only ones left that he will probably get a legit chance to play with. Radmonovic don’t count LOL.
Considering we only won
26 games last year its probably a good thing we changed our roster.
Agreed.
This team is going to be a sleeper. This team just needs players that are willing to do the dirty work and get their share of the scoring in through moving off the ball or put backs. Amundson fits the billing as well as Rodney Carney. Maybe the other Graham twin as well!
well change is good
and i’m happy with the players we got in Lee and Udoh. But out of “Curry’s Guys” only Reggie remains.. kinda sucks
Goal: 8 seed!

except we kept the biggest trouble spots, Dre, Montay and brokenwing and got rid of the value rotation parts like More-O, CJ, Rony, Blue-Kitty , and Rudolf. So we still got a one dimensional center that can’t shoot, a midget shooting guard and an 8th round draft pick that after half a career has yet to prove he can keep his limbs attached? but we’ve also lost a lot of depth. I guess that’s an attempt to prove two Wrights can make a wrong?

I just looked at the roster
Wow, what a roster change. At the moment, only 6 of the 15 players are still with us.
Curry, Monta, Reggie, BWright, Biedrins, Radman
The other 9:
Maggette – traded to Bucks
Azubuike, Turiaf, Randolph – traded to Knicks
Morrow – signed with Nets
CJ – signed with Bulls
Tolliver – signed with Twolves
George, Hunter – still free agents
And I wouldn’t be surprised if BWright and/or Radman gets traded later on, too.
Even though it's a business, this is different than normal teams.
We’re getting rid of players like crazy. Curry’s probably thinking, “wow, what the hell is up with this team? I feel like I’m the one on a new team since all my 09-10 teammates are gone”. Of course he’s going to feel a little weirded out by this organization. Hopefully we start winning next season and get some stability with our players so Curry would have some doubts about the franchise.

Hahahaha
And he made a youtube account just for that, too! Anyway, congrats to Tolliver for getting a contract and staying out of the D League. Sounded like a nice guy, a smart guy, certainly looked smart when he was wearing glasses.
I remember how Tolliver was called up as an injury replacement, and on the very first day of his 10-day contract, he got injured and was taken out of the game. Fortunately, he didn’t miss the next game.
how many injury exceptions did we have last season?
by Precise Films Productions on Aug 6, 2010 9:03 PM PDT up reply actions
I'm not sure
If memory serves, we had a total of 5 D-League callups: Hunter, Coby Karl, Cartier Martin, Tolliver, and finally Reggie. I know we didn’t offer Karl a 2nd 10-day contract. I think 2 or 3 exceptions were reported in the news, but I assume all of these guys joined the Warriors as an injury exception, since you have to renew your injury exceptions periodically with the NBA.
so he decides to be funny after he leaves the warriors. =[

Congrats to AT.
A contract like that is a life-changer for someone like that. Tolliver always struck me as smart and hard-working, and I’m glad to see that rewarded.
I’m also glad it’s not on the Warriors.

2.6 million, before taxes
I definitely wouldn’t say set for life.

4.8 million over 2 years.
To go with his 300 k from last year, and his very conservative spending of money, i think he’s ok.

$4.8m before taxes, call it $2.4m after taxes.
It’s probably a touch more than that, because Minny’s state taxes are lower than ours, but let’s call it that.
That’s $53k AFTER TAXES a year for 45 years.
So yes, he’s set for life if he’s smart with his money. He’s certainly 100% free to dedicate himself to whatever he wants to dedicate himself to, without worrying about if it pays him or not. (And given that he’s clearly a smart guy, I suspect he’ll have some options as far as things that pay him once his playing career is over).
(And given that he’s clearly a smart guy, I suspect he’ll have some options as far as things that pay him once his playing career is over).
He was on a Barnett after game special during the NBA finals and would make a great color guy when he’s done playing. Tolly for Fitz would be a no brainer move.

It’s times like these that I’m glad KAAAAAAHN is around to make outrageous moves. Tolliver deserves a contract for his hard work, even if his play was just barely passable on the court.

Props to AT. +2 for the awesome video.
I am so thankful that Kahn is in the NBA. His silly decisions take some heat off being a Warrior fan.
"I thought it was going in," Warriors center Chris Hunter said. "It looked like the invisible man tipped it away at the last second."
Dear Oakland, All Of the Bay Area and the Golden State Warriors Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;
As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in Omaha Nebraska that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Golden State Warrior.
This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.
Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.
The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Warriors have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.
There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
You simply don’t deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.
You have given so much and deserve so much more.
In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:
"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘FINANCIAL ADVISER’ WINS ONE"
You can take it to the bank.
If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Oakland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.
Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.
Sorry, but that’s simply not how it works.
This shocking act of disloyalty from our "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.
But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Oakland, California.
The self-declared former "Financial Adviser" will be taking the "curse" with him up north. And until he does "right" by Oakland and The Bay Area, Tolliver (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.
Just watch.
Sleep well, Oakland.
Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day….
I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:
DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue
Chris Cohan,
Former Majority Owner
