Update: http://twitter.com/gwashburn14/status/21965499275

Adrien isn’t getting a guaranteed contract but rather just a training camp invite.

A Sonics fan without a team... but after 7 seasons now of GS Warriors season tickets have convinced me to adopt the boys from Oakland.

Phew!

I lost all ability to reason with regard to potential Warrior bigs when I realized I was pining for Luis Amundson. Carney quenches my thirst for flashy players with little to no game, but I still want some size up front! Get me one big honkin’ dude that can’t play a lick and I’ll be happy as dog in a hub-cap factory.

1 and 1/2 footed Kenny George anyone? OK I just offended myself with that one…

He fills a big area of need for the Ws

Adrien averaged 28 mins in 38 games and committed 0 turnovers.

ZERO!

That’s impressive.

Adrien has a motor and freakish wingspan

from Draft Express:

Adrien’s motor and tough play are going to be the two things that give him a chance of finding a place in the league. He is a ferocious rebounder, who is incredibly active on both ends of the floor. While it’s going to take some strong play in the tournament and workouts for Adrien to assure himself of being drafted, he should have an opportunity to make someone’s roster as a hustle player by the time training camp rolls around.

We need this! I like the move. If he can focus on defense and rebounding, provide some hustle, he can help.

7'2" wingspan

8’11.5" standing reach

16 reps

He’s not tall, but you don’t rebound with your head (I learned that from this forum). He’s strong and has great length for his height (actually, good length even compared to some forwards that are 6’9" or taller).

He basically a skinnier DeJaun Blair

Here’s hoping he be as productive on the boards

so now we have 14 players under contract, right?

I thought only 12 make the team. Udoh’s hurt. Does that mean one other player is made inactive during the season? If so, who will it be?

by Evanz on Sep 8, 2010 12:32 PM PDT reply actions

No,

15 players are the max to be on the roster but only 12 of them can suit up per night…

So right now I’m looking at Udoh and either Bell or this guy Jeff Adrien…maybe even Lin. I see Gadzuric being on the active roster for some reason.

Adrien is a beat

This guy has a similar body of Maggette

Good pickup

He’s a lot like Jason Maxiell.

Rodney Carney is pretty much the fastest player in the NBA with the ball in his hands.

He’s one of the most explosive players in the game and I think you guys will enjoy watching him as long as he gets some minutes.

by KGMN on Sep 8, 2010 3:21 PM PDT reply actions

No joke Jeremy Lin is the fastest player I seen with the ball besides Nash,Ellis and Iverson.
