I like how he never mentioned his jump shot.
It’s good to bring in another player who knows his limits and what his role on the team should be.

He's trying to get back to his college days.
Said he joined the Warriors because their offense is similar to Memphis’.
I believe he still has a lot of potential. Both him and DWright could end up being good defensive players for us. With their athleticism and quickness, they’ll definitely get a ton of steals which will fuel our fastbreak game. I hope they can do much more on defense than just getting steals, though.

I love that he was honest about the fact that his athletic ability is his greatest asset. He clearly is no dummy, so maybe there is something to be said about his increased maturity. Then again, there’s no guarantee that will translate to a better all-around game.
Still, I think most players of his ilk would make up some BS to counter their reputation as players with up-side that haven’t panned out. I’m liking him already!

Now im satisfied. As long as Reggie Williams dont have to play any minutes as the 3 im satisfied. Larry Riley must’ve been listening to me because i’ve been saying for the longest that Steph needed finishers to pass to. If Carney is anything he is a finisher. Imagine the lobs Curry will throw to Lee,Wright and Carney. Highlight central. And this means no more D.George.
Carney's offense should only come in transition, fast breaks, and offensive put-backs
I don’t see him getting set plays, isos, or spot-up jumpers. His biggest asset is his athletic ability, but it’s how he uses that on defense that will earn him minutes.
Carney and Wright
are lookalikes.
kind of.

like that every player i’ve seen an interview of talks about being excited about the offense as to be expected, but all have seemed to point out the defensive downfalls of the prior teams here and the fact that they really want to help bring a defensive presence with each of their games. Sounding like we might finally have a team that is ready to really win with uptempo. We haven’t really had a chance to see that in the NBA due to the teams that play uptempo not really playing any defense. If we can just get to middle of the pack in the League defensively, That should do wonders for the teams success, as well as perception around the League.
We'll finally be able to rebound, too.
The D.Wright/Lee/Biedrins frontline is a good rebounding trio. Another way our uptempo offense will finally win is because we have a 20ppg post player in David Lee. No more living and dying by the 3; if our outside shots aren’t going in, we got someone down low to pass it to who can initiate his own offense. More double teams down low on David Lee, leaving Biedrins open as well as outside shooters on the team.
