It seems that the entire game has been re-skinned, not just the courts. Most of the player sprites look like themselves (finally Dorell won’t have that odd haircut and Monta’s skin color won’t have that slight yellow tinge). They nerfed the player ratings a bit too, fewer 80-ratings than in years before, though they still have an issue of overrating and underrating certain players.

Unfortunately, when I checked out the team rosters and there are no rookies at the moment. Still… I’m excited for when it releases on Tuesday since this will be my only basketball fix until March Madness rolls around. Can’t wait!

since it’s still going off of last season’s rosters, I’ll most likely end up playing as the classic teams until the lockout ends. ’92 Warriors all day!

they even have that scary sound when someone makes a 3… and even when the announcer goes “threee pooooooooooinnntsss !”

…especially the commentary on the Warriors. They talk about Monta getting married and having his son, and how it helped him mature. Steve Kerr talks about the infamous zombie bite on David Lee, and Lou Amundson’s days in UNLV. They also talk about Jeremy Lin leading his team to state championships but never getting any recruiting buzz. These guys sure did their homework.

Is Damon Bruce a national name? He does the halftime show for 2K12, which was interesting for me because I don’t know him outside of KNBR.

All the animations in this game are so lifelike. Every time I see Dorell or David Lee dunk I swear that I remember them doing the exact same move in real life. They even got Andris’ ugly-ass hitch free throw. Never goes in, either.

I’m still learning how to play the 2K series, as this is my first. Playing as a 3-point specialist in My Player mode is a joke, but why is playing as a PG or a big so freaking hard?

Fastbreak at 3:22 looks very warrior-esque

I’ve been playing the game for a few days now, and so far it’s pretty enjoyable. Gameplay is much smoother than last year and I love that you can construct jump shot forms in the game.

What I’ve noticed though is that everyone and their mothers are considered 3-point specialists in this game. It’s especially angering when all the AI ever does is hoist contested 3’s and connect…
