WIth Kenyon, Chandler, and J.R. possibly being stuck in China, it looks like the Nuggets may have some problems making the playoffs. This does open up a playoff spot, but of course the Warriors are going to probably end up fighting for the 8th seed at the most. Maybe without these 3 key players it will be easier for Nene to strike a deal elsewhere, cough cough.

2 out of the 3 weren't going to end up back wit DEN anyways

So this really doesn’t matter. But Nene is more obtainable than people think.

I remember reading a report saying Nene prefers to stay out West. But we'll see...

"I thought it was going in," Warriors center Chris Hunter said. "It looked like the invisible man tipped it away at the last second."

As iHype said

JR and Martin weren’t likely to come back. Chandler would have been nice, but seeing that they have the Gallinari as their starting 3, they only really need a backup. With Afflalo coming off a career year, they have their starting positions in place unless they use their amnesty on Harrington and make a run at David West, who would be dangerous with Nene.

It smells like hope in this mug

They have enough to go after West with or without the amnesty. The talk I’ve heard here in Colorado is that they will make a push for Gasol, and play Nene at the 4, which they consider to be his natural position.

I’m pretty sure they amnesty Harrington, though they may dump Birdman. Getting Chauncey, Melo, and Kenyon off the books in one season really opens up all the free agent options. JR was leaving anyways; he had worn out his welcome, and KMart couldn’t be counted on because of his health issues throughout his max deal. Chandler will be missed, and I like Felton better than Miller, but the Nuggets core is pretty good. With their combination of young talent and cap room, I wouldn’t count them out of the playoffs or the free agent negotiations.

I wish we were in Denver’s shoes.

honestly, there’s not many teams in a worse position than the Dubs right now…
